I used to think this was a great place to eat (and work) until recent discoveries. The owners have 3 huge labs (dogs) that they frequently bring INSIDE the restaurant & keep them in the office (while guests are there) or sometimes keep them in the kitchen & block the exit so they are just walking around the kitchen, getting dog fur & slobber & mud everywhere. One time it was done after the floor was mopped & the kitchen was just cleaned…then the kitchen was not cleaned again after they removed the 3 large dogs. It’s disgusting & definitely against health codes for restaurants. So yeah, if you enjoy dining where dirty animals have been roaming around…this is the place for you!! Also they don’t treat employees fairly & something is ALWAYS going wrong….Every. Single. night.

Muddy Dog is a wonderful addition to Unionville. Located in the heart of the Unionville Restaurant District (in fact, comprising the entire Unionville Restaurant District), it is a far better dining option than one would ever expect to find in such a tiny town. The smash burgers are extremely good, and the pizzas are made with tasty, fresh ingredients. There is also a small grocery store. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is super informal.
