NOT DOG FRIENDLY we was going to eat and have drinks there but the host said sorry NO DOGS even on the patio, so we went up the street just a little ways to cornerstone and they welcomed our dog inside with his own cold bowl of water and they sell dog beer so you can have a beer with your best friend.

A cool spot outside of the busy Ogunquit corridor, and very close to the Footbridge beach. The food is good but the service is very slow, so if you decide to dine here, set aside a lot of time…even on a night when they’re not busy! Food prices are reasonable for the area, but drink prices are excessive.

I would grant 4.5 stars. Service was top notch and the social climate of the area unmatched for Ogunquit. A touch removed from the downtown area, but a great spot for younger people (20-30). Will return.

Very nice atmosphere and very helpful wait staff. Went for dinner and was indecisive on what I wanted, but knew I wanted some sort of bowl. The waitress recommended a Caribbean jerk bowl and it didn’t disappoint at all. For seafood, it is above average, but the atmosphere made it that much better. Cocktails are very good as well. Highly recommend!

It was an awful experience me and my family had to wait an hour and a half to be seated. After waiting an hour and a half we were placed in a corner where we were hardly visible. It also sucks because we didn’t want to believe that it had something to do with our ethnicity, but it felt we were being excluded. It took 30 minutes waiting for an appetizer and almost 10-20 minutes for our drinks. After we ordered our food, we waited an hour and a half. Although I will say the waitress was very polite, and he kept apologizing for the delay. Afterwords, we decided to cancel the order because of how long it was taking. When we paid for the appetizer and just the drinks, they ended up telling us they never even got started on the food after an hour and a half. It was a horrible experience experience. We had a long day traveling to Maine, just for us to not have a dinner.

I have been coming to Hooks for years and I have nothing to complain about, the staff is very professional and hard working. The owners and management are the nicest people who really care to provide good quality food and an atmosphere for people to enjoy. I recommend them to everyone who visits southern Maine. Also always have local beers on tap!
