At our Olive Branch, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food was the worst I’ve had at any Captain D’s I ordered a supreme fish meal with a loaded baked potato and corn. The only thing was fresh was the corn. The potato was hard the cheese and bacon was rubbery as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp all day. They gave me the spicy fish when it was supposed to come with classic fish. I don’t eat spicy food. The honey mustard for my chicken tenders tasted fermented so it was bad. The overall experience was horrible. I’ll never eat at this location again.

I love Captain D’s and the only reason I don’t give a 5 ⭐️ review is the bake potatoes. They are always hard and chunky and will barely melt the butter. Why can’t you serve a hot fluffy baked potato. I was here at 11 am to watch eat lunch so you would think the potatoes would be freshly baked . Other than this the food is great.

Hands down for the great deals they have and the customer service was great!! I know they can be very busy at times and it can get frustrating but thanks for working so hard morning and evening shift. I’m a constant doordasher so I’m here all the time . But today I decided to try them and it was good. I just was missing my hushpuppies i do recommend ☺️ also props for keeping the store clean

The absolute worst experience ever. Nothing that I ordered was fresh. I wouldn’t have fed that trash to a stray dog. Avoid this location at all costs. Even the honey mustard was fermented. My wife ordered regular battered fish but she received spicy. The loaded bake potato literally looked and felt days old. The stuffed crab was terrible and old. They didn’t replace the hush puppies for breadsticks as requested. AVOID THIS LOCATION!!

Update: I spent $48 tonight for sub-par food!! What happened?? The potatoes and corn are obviously so old. They should have been tossed….not served!! I am so mad, as the corn costs almost $4 each!! The potato fell apart and was brownish. My pictures don’t show how truly awful it looked. Additionally, one piece of my family meal Cod was just crunchy ends, barely any fish inside. It was too cold and the restaurant was too far for me to return it all. I wish I had checked before driving off. But I trusted them!! I will leave my rating low until this is corrected.

Dropped by this location during a late night when all other catfish restaurants were closed. Captain D’s doesn’t serve true catfish as we know it in the southern U.S. but they sell Vietnamese catfish or swai. The fish is different in taste and texture but is still mild and good. They supply all the sides you might expect like macaroni and cheese, french fries, hush puppies, etc. The service was fast and very friendly. Overall, not a bad fast food option for seafood.

We have eaten Captain Ds for years. It has steadily gone down, and today was just gross. I ordered two 2 piece fish dinners to go. I checked them when he brought them out and they didn’t look right. They were hard rectangles without any of the light crispy batter on the fish. I thought it might be chicken strips. The young emoloyee looked and said, no that’s fish. I said well something is wrong with it. He asked what. I don’t know. It doesn’t look right. To that he ignored me and went to the counter to help someone else.
