We found this restaurant on Google while we were visiting Houston for a week. We were looking for Black Owned breakfast/brunch spots that we hadn’t already patronized (we had been to most of them at this point in the trip), and Google said this was one (so we assumed it is… but we noticed that Google said a number of restaurants in Houston were black owned, which actually weren’t. I *think* they are Black-owned, tho). We came across this on a whim (we were exhausted of searching for places and we were STARVING) and decided to go visit.

We found this gem on Yelp searching for a local place that we had never visited. From the time we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and great music. Our server was amazing!! She took down our names when we ordered and made it feel personal while taking care of us. I had a mimosa and the 3-piece fish plate with the cornbread dressing as my side. It was fresh and full of flavor! WE WILL BE BACK!!! It’s so close to home and the vibe is everything.

Food is delicious and the Peach Cobbler is off the chain. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere as well. Our waitress did a phenomenal job. She was attentive and so patient with me and my Coworkers. It’s definitely a must to stop by and experience. You won’t be disappointed. Blessings to all!

When I say the best soul food I have had in a long time I felt like my Big mama made it her self what I really loved the most is the Aura as soon as you walk in the atmosphere is everything did I mention it is #blackowned the staff here are amazing above & beyond service…I got the Turkey wing/necks with mc & cheese yams, greens, my family got Ox tails with smothered gravy & rice with mc cheese yams greens, we all had corn bread and they got the Big Mimosa’s I got their fresh Kool Aid definitely will be coming back definitely recommend ☺️10 out of 10*

When you walk in it feels like you’re going to grandma’s house for breakfast! I don’t know if this is a family owned restaurant but it felt like it to me. I love the warmth I felt while I was there with my husband for breakfast . The food was amazing and the portion sizes were true to Texas big and filling!!!
