The food was very good, but the queso dip was clumpy. The queso could have been better and more beer options would be nice as well.

If I could rate it a 3.5, I would. Anyway, I made a special detour to visit Taqueria El Rincon as I was in the mood for some good, authentic Mexican Food. The space is big and bright, almost too big and bright for my liking. I normally like a good hole-in-the-wall taco joint, but it was clean. On the atmosphere, I was a little taken by the music selection as it was a super religious station, not what I would have expected. (As an FYI, this didn’t impact my rating, I was merely pointing out an observation.) The service staff was friendly and very nice. My only issue/concern, is that I had asked if the beans had any meat (many times refried beans have been refried in animal fat) and she thought for a minute and said no. But I wasn’t entirely convinced, but ok. The chips were warm and fresh, but the salsa wasn’t anything special, more like a packaged product than made in house. I had the Chile Relleno – it was presented well, everything on the plate was good, but nothing exceptional. I probably wouldn’t make a special trip to go back, but if I were in the area meeting friends and they suggested the restaurant, I wouldn’t say “No way! Let’s go somewhere else.”

Would like to say I eat here 24/7 haha. The best Mexican restaurant around here by FAR! The aren’t cheap on their meat like most places. Chicken is never burnt and juicy and food is always hot. If you’re in the area I highly recommend eating here. Customer service is amazing and extremely friendly. Also extremely clean.

I have been here 4 times in the last two months and I have not had a bad experience yet. I figured it was time to write a review. This is a hidden gem in South Mt. Juliet. The food is great. There are plenty of options to choose from and you get your food pretty quick. The service has always been friendly. You can dine inside or out. The place has plenty of seating. The mariachi music playing overhead adds to a wonderful atmosphere with the murals on the walls on the inside. I would recommend giving this place a try. My family is hooked.

Growing pains are evident here and understandably so. I’ll be patient for now for them to work them out. They didn’t have a website or Google Maps Business location that I could find so I created this for us to help others find this place. At the time of this review they had only been open for a week. I think most of us would naturally like to compare this to Oscars but I can’t. They are two separate atmospheres, with an evidently clear difference in selection, food presentation, cultural display, and tastes. I love both businesses! Taqueria has great options and seems to really lean towards thats hole in the wall food taste. We ordered the Steak Torta, Quesadillas, and it was delicious!

My son and I visited during lunchtime. The service was great and they were extremely nice. Lots of smile which I like. Food was really good and not to terribly expensive. It’s more like a fast food Mexican eatery. Place was really clean.

Wouldn’t recommend. Cheese dip was clumpy, and salsa was liquid, more like watered down hot sauce. Food in general was very bland. Service was good. Food was not.

The service was very friendly. The decor was cute. I wasn’t aware they don’t sell margaritas nor do they have a patio to sit on. The food was ok. We got a queso chorizo dip and salsa that was very good. We had the nachos, taco salad, quesadillas and a beef taco ( I can’t remember the name). Nothing was really season. Very plain. For my family of four it was over $80. I don’t think it was worth the money. I might go back to try the churros.
