The food was fair enough. I really liked the Banana pudding, dressing and cornbread. I had their smothered pork chops and macaroni and cheese was alright. The banana pudding was the best part of my order. May try other things next time or I may just come back for the banana pudding.

Worst black owned establishment in the city of East point. Over priced food nasty asf manager won’t even come to window so I can speak with him. Spend your money where you are treated as a paying customer. Jus rude to not even come to see what the issue was. If I could give them zero that’s exactly what they deserve. Canned green beans served like they were freshly picked. Macaroni disgusting smothered pork chops with Heinz brown gravy out the jar. I will be letting everyone I know do not support this dump in Eastpoint and Clinton Twp. To spend their money elsewhere. Support cornbread in Southfield BLK owed and Lillie maes Southfield great soul food restaurants.respectful with manners including the staff and management.

I ordered here for the first time today through Doordash. I first tasted the macaroni and cheese and it was perfect, but it went down hill from there. The dressing and yams were way too heavy on the nutmeg and the dressing isn’t smooth, it’s gritty…like too much cornmeal. The yams were just a touch too sweet, but I could deal with that more than all the nutmeg. The cornbread was pretty good.

10xs better soulfood… definitely worth the try! The facility was very clean and the customer service (thanks Patrice) is excellent! Really down home and comfortable! I ordered the pork chops 1 fried 1 smothered the pork chops are seasoned perfectly and wonderfully succulent! The yams had a wonderful flavor and I am sure I tasted notes of ginger…what I loved about the Mac is that it wasn’t just cheese and noodles… the pasta they chose was a great choice and I love that the flavor was a bit more complex than cheese and noodle… the cornbread muffin was a classic sweet cornbread muffin… the dessert! The peach cobbler was very good… that is if you love the crust as I do! Great presentation… not overly sweet… very enjoyable!! Why not a 5??Well there were a few things I wld do differently… I don’t like a very heavily breaded pork chop

this was one of the best Soulfood I have had in a long time the staff was so friendly. The food was really good. Me and my family went here on my birthday Easter Sunday and I can truly say that I enjoyed everything that was on my plate, so yes I will recommend go check them out if you love soul food and who doesn’t love ❤️ soul food and we dine in

Good portion size on meatloaf. The peach cobbler is best I have had in years. Fried fish is nicely seasoned & good portion also. I also enjoyed the sweet potatoes & greens. Meatloaf has a flavor profile I am not over the moon about but gravy was good. The young lady who took my order & cashed me out has excellent customer service skills. Keep that going ….I will be back
