This is a super place to bring a large group. We happen to get here around noon. On a Sunday. We were very lucky to find this place. But the ordering did get confusing as our lacrosse team. Kids sat all over, so staff had their hands full. We ended up with 9 full tables so they had their hands full. Now im writing this before we got our food , but I’m sure it’s going to be good. They did the best they could, by bring out more staff to help place orders. And I think it went well.

Bel Air is only 20 minutes from were I live so I’ve been to Bel Air hundreds times, driving past Silver Spring Mining Company probably half those times. Never considered eating there. Then very recently our daughter ate there and since then she wouldn’t stop talking about how much she loved the restaurant! So when my wife and I went to run some errands in Bel Air we decided that we would give the silver Spring Mining Company a try. The best way to tell you how good the food and atmosphere was is to tell you that I now have a new favorite local restaurant along with regret for not trying it sooner!!! The service was wonderful (Thank you Raven), the prices were reasonable and most importantly the food was delicious!

Previously one of my favorite restaurants in Bel Air. Chicken tenders were more like a corn dog with chicken. Little pieces of chicken surrounded by corn muffin mix. Homemade meatloaf was a flat, dry, and over spiced Salisbury steak. Waitress was PHENOMENAL.

Huge portions and friendly staff make visiting this location worth it. The crab dip pretzel is a meal in and of itself, but split it with another to save room for their signature dish: Sour Beef and Dumplings.

I sincerely hate to complain but the atmosphere and the place was very clean! Our server only checked on us for our order and at the end for our check and it was not busy at all. The server that brought our food I had to ask her for forgotten coleslaw as well as refills on empty drink’s. The food all tasted reheated and stale except the meatloaf that was really good. I left the server a good tip but would not recommend this place at all. It has sincerely gone down hill. When you are giving this service on an empty night imagine what you would get on a busy night.

Google tells me the last time I was here, was 4 years ago. I can’t believe I waited so long to come back This place is great. We started out with the chefs special blackened ahi tuna, I would’ve sworn we received a double portion, it was huge and delicious. We both had French onion soup and massive salads. Our waitress was wonderful and definitely look forward to coming back again soon.

Comfy rustic feel to the inside and service was nice. The change up of using a spring roll for mozzarella sticks didnt really resonate well. Felt underseasoned compared to normal breading. Crab Pretzel was tasty and well cooked. Perfect fluffy pretzel to go with the crab dip, overall would like more dip in general.

Great location. First visit. Will not be the last. One of the best waiters we’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

just visited. It is just not what it used to be. we were there for thanksgiving and the traditional dinner they prepare for that is great. we will def consider that again next year. We ordered from the regular menu this time and no one in our party was happy.Broiled rockfish was awful. They refunded us. Meatloaf not good- weird spices and looked just like a hamburger.. chicken chesapeake just ok. fried pickles and breaded green beans still great. prices off the charts for everything. The food we had def not worth the price point. They have always done good ribs crab cakes fajitas and pot pies. If it was not for the crazy high prices, now, we might try again but prices are just not worth it. too many other restaurants around to choose from. Sad. we like to support local non chain venues but they will have to reduce a lot of their prices first. our wait staff and management were super nice though

I waited 2 years for Silver Spring Mining Co. Sour beef and it was well worth it. Food, service and atmosphere were great.
