Came here for the first time on a Friday night and the atmosphere was wonderful! They had a great live guitar player and there was no wait. The food was great, I really enjoyed the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich and my spouse had the Barrel Bowl. Both first rate. Spicy, but not burn-your-mouth spicy. Service was extra attentive. My only quibble was the draft beer menu was a little sparse and the beer could have been a little colder. Otherwise a very pleasant surprise for a place you might not immediately notice from the road!

We went to Barrel 99 tonight with family, as my brother was in town, and it was a wonderful evening! The staff were great and the restaurant was super cute! The prices were great and the food SO tasty. Everything we ordered was amazing! From loaded potato skins and sausage board to burgers and flatbreads. Even the banana pudding and strawberry short cake were great. We will definitely be recommending to others and will be back.

I had the chicken sandwich while my wife had the classic burger. Both were well seasoned and came with house made chips. For the two sandwiches and a coke out bill was $30.

Fantastic atmosphere and amazing food. I got the barrel burger for lunch and it was the tastiest burger I have had in a long time. I met the owner Brad, great guy and locally owned! I will definitely be going back, plus he said they have live music on the weekends!

Great local grill! They have outdoor seating where dogs are welcome, and a kids menu.

The Barrel Burger was amazing. A little spicy but not so much to overpower the amazing flavors. Both of our burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. Morgan was our server and was very kind, nice and attentive. This will become a new favorite. Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

My wife and moved to Flower Mound just over a year ago and loved Makarsee Market and the restaurant/store concept. We were disappointed to see the change but always try to support local businesses and gave it another try. Our 1st visit after the change to Barrell 99 was great! We really enjoyed the meat & cheese platter, pretzel bites, and their wine selection is great; However, since that first visit things seem to be slowly changing and for the worse. The menu has changed multiple times in the past few months and they have gotten rid of things we enjoyed that aren’t seasonal. Also, the last two times we went they were out of items listed on the menu. The seating is very uncomfortable and the seating against the wall is way too high for the tables there. At some point they added cushions to the bench against the wall but you’re practically hunched over when eating now. If one party is loud, it carries through out the whole restaurant and becomes pretty annoying. Add in live music and it’s difficult to have any sort of meaningful conversation. I don’t believe that’s the fault of the musician, it’s just a loud place. I cant bring myself to give one star as the Tempranillo they carry is a great wine but we are tired of finding new items to like every time something changes. After many chances we wont be going back.

First time to visit and was really looking forward to it. 4:30 on a weekday. It was empty. The back wall with seating was way too high compared to the tables. Metal seats for the other tables were not comfy at all. Not sure if they want you to stay long or not. With barrel tables it would be nice if the had hooks for the ladies to use for their purses. Yes they have them at the bar but that didn’t help. I’m willing to try it again but it may be a minute before I do. The server was nice but not informed on the menu or beer. Had a few tastings and they were all warm. Opted to get a bottle of beer instead.

Very pleasant wait staff and a nice but Limited selection of options to eat. The atmosphere is really bright and cheerful but feels more like that of a breakfast/ lunch restaurant rather than a bar and grill. I’ll certainly be going back sometime for lunch.
