Had not been to Los Rancheros for 5 years. Looked forward to eating there while I was in the area. The service was outstanding, love the atmosphere of the place. However, the food was not as good as it use to be. They had the best guacamole around, don’t know if the recipe has changed or it was a bad day. It did not have the flavor it did before. It tasted very bland this time. The salsa was not the quality it once was either. I had the shrimp chimichanga, the shrimp were very rubbery.

This was a destination meal for my sister’s birthday. (Halfway between our homes) Although we had never eaten here it was a good pick. Food was authentic, prices reasonable, customer service top notch! All aspects of the meal excellent. My favorite: the salsa and guacamole.

We were very pleased with our meals and service. I was picky about what I wanted and they were very accommodating to my requests. The tacos el pastor were delicious – I like them on flour tortillas (instead of corn), with cheese & pineapple added. They were very delicious – lots of flavors with lime juice squeezed on top. We will definitely go back. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. We were seated with social distance and the servers wore masks.

Amazing atmosphere with great, authentic Mexican food. Would say it’s the best Mexican restaurant Taylorville has to offer! The staff had a thick accent so it was hard to make out what they were saying at times but the service and food was exceptional. I will most definitely be coming back again and again!

I first went here with customers and was very pleased with the food. It was exactly what I works expect but the full 5 stars comes from the spicy salsa. It must be made in house! It’s delicious, very hot, and kind of sweet. Had to go back to grab a to go portion the next time I was in town. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and cocktails. They have a wonderful selection of food and drinks to please any pallet. Very child friendly menu for the little ones. Margarita Flights are wonderful and several flavors to choose from. Remember to always tip your server they work their behinds off to accomplish and accommodate all requests. Very friendly and authentic atmosphere and food. Is average priced for the area.

Daughters birthday only good thing about dinner was our family together. The carnitas was overcooked my daughters nacho fajitas order was not what she ordered they took it back and screwed it up again … charro was much better live and learn…

If zero stars was an option I would have chosen that. The food was mid. The waiter only came to our table a total of 3 times. Very very slow service. It almost appeared as they didn’t want our money. On that note when we received our checks we waited for 20 minutes and then had to go find the waiter so he would take our money. Would not recommend.

Unhappy that they charged us 18% gratuity automatically. Our ticket said 4 guests but it was only my husband and myself. There is a 1.50 charge when paying with a card. Ok no big deal, but they added that to the total and then refigured the 18% gratuity. So I paid gratuity on a credit card fee as well.
