My family absolutely loves The Downwind Cafe for breakfast! We’ve had just about everything on the menu, but my one son loves the yogurt parfait and my other son absolutely loves the chocolate chip pancakes. For me, I think their western omelette is one of the best I have ever had and I also have them add mushrooms and tomatoes to mine, which makes it even better. We’ve been there for breakfast lunch and dinner and all the breakfast is our favorite. Every meal we’ve had there has been really good. The service is usually very good as well and all of the servers are very accommodating and personable. This time we had Shawnte as our server and she was awesome! On cooler nights they have a fire pit out which is nice to have a drink around if you are waiting for table or just want to sit outside. Will definitely be back to this restaurant as it has one of the better breakfasts in the Port Orange area.

Awesome little restaurant inside Spruce Creek Airport. The food was delicious and the service was great. Super cool aviation atmosphere with plane models and aircraft artifacts everywhere! You can watch the small airplanes taxi in and out from your seat, inside or outside.

Guard at the gate gave us great directions to enter the neighborhood. Planes moving very frequently but was not difficult to cross taxiway. Parking was easy. We had to wait but with all the planes flying around, it was a pleasure to wait. It felt like we were having an air show with the pilots flying in formation. Food was great! Son had a Benedict which kept him full till the end of the day. The English muffin was toasted so well. Definitely a place to return to.

Ordered the pineapple express pizza it was decent dough was a bit chewy but overall good flavor however my biggest complaint is the caprese plate the description is heirloom tomatoes what I got was tiny grape tomatoes basil nope none olive oil I question that one. Garlic taste none of that balsamic reduction got that. On a bed of arugula got some of that. Top with Parmesan got nothing of that. All for the price of I believe for twelve dollars. And this why I don’t like to order from a full service restaurant I definitely learned a lesson check the order before leaving.

Great service, we were seated as soon as we walked in and served our drinks which for sweet tea was made great! Especially having peach tea too. Timing between our appetizers and lunch was well done and it all came out delicious! The plating was pretty too! I had just the basics of fried mozzarella and cheese pizza. While my fiancé had crab cakes which were loaded with fresh tasting crab and a mahi taco!
