Pleasant restaurant, very different from the downtown location. We started with the Bao buns where the filling was elaborate but ultimately not flavorful enough to stand up to the amount of bun. The burger was somewhat unbalanced with a heavy handed application of jam that dominated the other ingredients.

The restaurant is a bit disconcerting if you are used to the atmosphere and food of the one in Midtown. This is a bigger place with bigger plates. We had the burger and the pork belly bao bun. The latter was ok, not juicy or fatty enough to overcome the bun.

Overall a tasty experience from drinks, appetizers and entrees. The shareable filthy fries were absolutely divine with chunks of bacon and a creamy sauce.

The best food I’ve found in Reno so far! Our server Matt was an absolute professional and knew his menus inside and out. Any question we had he knew the answer and I would definitely trust him with recommendations. His personable service was just as much of a highlight as the food was.

This place is superb. Chef Geoff is truly culinary Master when pair the food with so many different flavors but Suttle at the same time. He is a genius. He made us a variety of food and all of it was truly amazing. The desserts were to die for and I highly recommend eating here. The pictures do not do it any justice.

My husband and I purchased a 6 course meal dining experience for Centro. We’ve had a few set menu meals across Europe before and really enjoyed the food, the romance, the wine pairings, so we were looking forward to this meal. But I was immediately disappointed when we arrived and the seating area was set up communal style. I enjoy communal style dinners when it’s expected or you can prepare for it. But for $175 a ticket and based on their advertising, my husband and I got all dressed up and were looking forward to a date night. The atmosphere was really loud, and was served cafeteria style, the food was extremely disappointing and the wine pairings were half pours. This event was not advertised as it should have been (be upfront about the communal dinning and overall atmosphere) and it was very overpriced for the food, wine, and overall evening. I think $80/ticket would have been a better price point. Extremely disappointed, left hungry and confused and upset that I barely was able to hear/talk to my husband all night.

The food was not only amazing the staff was as well. They made sure my dining experience was amazing. We ordered 6 dishes & each one was different wirh there own unique flavor. I am a Chef and I was just in awe with how good the food was. Our waitress Breanna was nice & very helpful. Everything she recommended we loved. I recommend you to try Everything Here. The manager even came over to the table & introduced herself & made sure our experience was memorable. Will definitely be back

Went to Centro on a Thursday night and it was pretty quiet, given a long weekend. The ambiance compared to the Midtown location is not the same, too bright too wide open. They need to dim the lights and add some candles cause it honestly feels like a Taco Bell. We ordered the asparagus as a starter and the ravioli and chicken dishes for entrees. The chicken was over cooked and lacked flavour and the ravioli wasn’t anything to write home about. Overall, disappointed.

Update: Sometime in the last month and in the history of Centro, a RESERVATION is essentially required to dine! We’ve been going for years to the California Ave location and know to plan to show up early for a table. However, last night for my husband’s birthday even the BAR was entirely reserved at 5:40 for later reservations although almost every table was empty at the moment.

Absolutely outstanding food & service! I can’t believe there isn’t a line out the door to get in. The dishes are so creative, the flavors so intensely delicious. And our server, John, is awesome every time we visit.
