Food was disappointing, but service was great! The salsa was not edible; it had a weird flavor that was possibly cinnamon – it tasted like no other salsa I’ve ever had (3 out of 4 didn’t touch it, which is RARE for our crew). The portion size was large and the plate for the grande combo was larger than any plate I’ve seen. However, the food was not that great – my son said it was “passable as food”. I had a chimichanga and a Chile relleno. The chimichanga had decent flavor, but was mostly wet meat with little other fillings. I had a hard time eating the relleno – the cheese “sauce” inside was thick and jello-like. The refried beans were runny (like water) and I couldn’t eat them. We have lived in Oklahoma/Texas and eaten a lot of authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex. This was neither. If you’re from the south, skip this one; you will be just as disappointed. The prices were extremely high as well (very few items below $15.99 and most were $20-$25+). However, our service was great, the bathrooms were clean, and the place seemed well-kept, which bumped it up to 2 stars. Overall, decent place considering its location, but would not recommend to travelers from the south.

I found the waiter to be very friendly and very accommodating. My fajaita dinner turned out to be one of the best I have ever eaten. Thought the price of a margarita was high, so when I mentioned it to the waiter, I was immediately told he would make me the best margarita for the same price as a regular one. Oh yeah! Brought me a Grand Marnier . Delish!

We’ve had an amazing experience enjoying the excellent, authentic Mexican food here – definitely worth the drive up the canyon. The staff has been impressively attentive, courteous, and kind throughout our visit. The food has been consistently great with decent prices, generous portions, and particularly delicious guacamole. The friendly and outstanding service from the servers has left us thoroughly satisfied

The food is excellent authentic Mexican food! Well worth the drive up the canyon. The staff are attentive, courteous, and kind .. really makes it a pleasant experience. I happened to forget my purse there with an expensive item in it and several hundred in cash. The next day I went up to see if they had my purse, they showed concern for me and brought me my purse with everything in it .. so I have to say in this day and age .. the most respectful and honest staff I’ve come across. Thank you Louis and staff!! I highly recommend their food and service!!

Food is not as good as it was in the beginning. Several of us didn’t get what we asked for (asked for ground beef and got shredded chicken, or asked for no beans, but got them anyway). The service was ok. Several of us could have used a refill on drinks, however, the place was fairly busy, so we knew our waitress was doing her best. The place is very noisy.

Food was decent. I wish they would offer shredded beef rather than ground beef. But the service and atmosphere was nice.

The staff here is to notch. They seem to be trying very hard to bring an authentic Mexican restaurant to the wilds of WY. Food was hot, fresh, and fast. I was also very happy that Los Cabos is not over priced. Well worth the stop if you’re in Thermopolis.

Food was gross and inedible. My friend and I both didn’t finish our meals, and left our plates mostly uneaten. Rice had a burnt taste to it like it had burned while cooking but still was being served. Refried beans had the same acrid burnt toast flavor like it also had been burned during cooking. Enchilada sauce is brown and gravy like. Guacamole was very meh with chunks of brown avocado in it. Even my Iced tea tasted weird and old. Food seemed like it was yesterday’s and reheated by a sloppy lazy chef who burnt it and served it to customers anyways. When asked how our food was after paying, we told them about how everything tasted burnt. They didnt care nor offer refunds (even though our plates uneaten)and likely served same old food to everyone rest of day. Our stomachs felt gross entire day. Disapointing as 2 people recommended this place to us.
