Walking in was an interesting experience. Definitely not how I pictured the inside. Made me feel like I was about to embark on an amazing food journey. The pictures of the food does not do this place justice. The portions are big and you get your money’s worth. As for the flavor, when ordering, the person taking the order mumbled into the microphone what I ordered and it was then that I knew this food was going to be top notch flavor. The smell of our food cooking was like heaven. And for under 20$ we got, a cheeseburger, fries, hush puppies, a hotdog, chicken sandwich, and white cheddar bites. If I could live here, I would. But, my doctor wouldn’t like it hah!

One of the best customer service experiences I’ve had recently! Timothy was super patient as I rattled off a semi-complicated order and offered to read it back to me to ensure accuracy – which no one does anymore! I really appreciated his attention to detail, and both he and the gentlemen who handed me my order were all smiles. Wish all drive-through experiences were this pleasant!

This was my first visit to a Cook Out. I had heard good things and I was not disappointed. The food was really really hot. It was so nice to get fast food that wasn’t luke warm. Just got burger and fries, but I was happy with it. I will be back when I am in the area.

I have to eat healthy for the rest of my now short life after this experience. “Cookout is really good” they said. “You’ll like it” they said. Upon entering, the place was around the temperature of a walk-in cooler in a convenient store. It was rather warm outside so at first this was okay. Then as I noticed my feet gently sticking to the tile with every step I took I began to be aware of how everything I touched (counter, table, ketchup packets etc) was sticky with old grease. The guy that took our order seemed to be so happy to be there (this is sarcasm), AND he spoke his own language (some loose spin on English). He was actually rather rude and if I weren’t hungry and tired, or maybe was watching this interaction on YouTube I might have laughed. But no. He literally had to have another employee come to the counter to answer our question of “what sides can you get?”

The person who took our order must have been slow or something because he didn’t ring us up for a lot of the things we ordered. I could get better service from a dying dog. Who ever took our order should consider ending their life.

Best kind of stop when you find a cookout as far North as Beckley. We were trying to find a fast or casual place to eat with 4 kids as we travel and luckily pulled off of 19 and saw this. I love Cookout but it is probably because I don’t access to it very often. Great stop for kids as they get the tray with 2 different sides. I love the variety. Now the food might not be better than some other fast food places but they have enough variety to make everyone happy. Good Corn dogs, chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, hush puppies, chili cheese dogs, burgers, fries, and of course ice cream. I only wish their Spicy chicken was spicy or on par with Popeye’s. This one also had a huge dining room which is great for a travel stop. Very clean bathrooms as well.

This is our go to place. Every time me and my girlfriend eats here we always leave happy and with full stomachs. Prices aren’t bad at all. We fill ourselves for less than $20. Food is delicious. My recommendation would be the Tray with the BBQ Char Grilled Chicken Sandwich. 40+ flavors of milkshakes. Staff is kind and willing to guide you through the menu. Highly recommend stopping by!!

Get it together, Cookout! People in the kitchen need to start actually paying attention. I can understand an order getting messed up every once in a while, but it’s becoming an every time thing. It is not that hard to look at what a customer has ordered when it’s on the receipt!
