Amazing flavors and fall-off-the-bone meat. The food is delicious and the spices have a good kick to them, though you can opt for a milder taste if you prefer (ask for the sauce on the side instead). The oxtail is a best seller, so get there early before they run out. The portion sizes are very filling–a small is plenty for individuals and the large is good for sharing. The facility is okay, and while there are two tables with some stools, you’re meant to take your food out to enjoy it. The owner is super friendly and a great host. Overall, an excellent experience–definitely a place for return trips.

Listennnn – these oxtails are going to do ONE thing! So satisfying. Def need that juice/sauce on the rice though. It’s a lot of rice they add but decent portions of everything else. I prefer the plantains and sweet potatoes over the other sides. Patties are okay. I really like the ginger drink options. Happy to support this business

If I could give 10 stars I would! My husband and I stumbled across Island Pride when they first opened a few years ago and have been loyal customers since. The food is amazing! I’ve made special requests (jerk Salmon-delicious) and the team always accommodated us and always ensured our food was top quality and always fresh! If you’re looking for that authentic Jamaican cuisine, this is the place hands down!

My family tried this food before and enjoyed it. This is my second time. I had the jerk chicken before which was very good. I went for the curry goat platter this time. It’s some of the best Caribbean food I’ve ever had. Amazing and very good portions of food.

I wish I could have rated this place No stars. Well first they gave me oxtails which had barbecue sauce on it. Oxtail Doesn’t come with barbecue sauce. It should have came with gravy, (oxtail gravy). Paid 22$ and 15$ which was a small I could’ve gotten a large for a dollar more that should’ve said something right there! When I asked the lady can she make me a large, she refused to. Until, I said something about the price on the website, not matching the prices in the stores. I had asked her why? She said “ I already put the food in this platter” she stated.I can’t take it out . With a mean look on her face. I told her I can pay the difference if that’s the problem. She just said no! Then I asked to speak to the manager . I stated to him that the prices are wrong. I paid more than what stated it on the website . he then let me go and change the platter. So disappointing this is . This is not how business should operate .For the young ladies to make my food up with bare hands , have a attitude, she’s never smiling, not nice at all. Customers always have to speak first, and were the (customers)!!!! just sad! On top of all of that, while she’s preparing the food she touches the register with her bare hands, no gloves whatsoever.Very disgusting place. I would never recommend this place to anyone, I gave this place a second chance to redeem the first one.I should have stuck to my gut, and should’ve never even walked in. I was having a wonderful day to, I just wanted some Jamaican food. And I’m Jamaican and this is not how you make a food. You can’t just serve people anything!!! I had to throw all my food in the trash can and what a waste of people hard earn money ! they lost me and my family as a customers. Have a blessed day!
