Cute lake front restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating options. My fiancé burger was cooked perfectly to his liking and was pretty good. The poboy just looked sad, it had a great spicy flavor (you can order it not spicy). The filling just did not fill the roll it was in and threw off the ratio of the experience.

Service was awesome, the place is beautiful but the food is poor. I’m giving this place 3 stars because the waitress was a very nice young lady and her attention was outstanding! Too bad the kitchen wasn’t backing her up.

This was our second visit to JD’s on the lake and had similar problems each time. First the hostesses were very unprofessional. There was a 40 minute wait so we sat at bar and ordered and appetizers and soft drinks. The bar tender was not in a great mood and was rude. After getting our table our server was great, Thank you Olivia. But our food came out and was over cooked. When we went to pay we were charged again for soft drinks that we already paid for at the bar and they said we had to pay for them twice. It makes me sad to think that this is such a cool place and we have it here in our home town and that these kids that are working there are just rude. Hope they can get some employees who want to be there and who can smile and not double charge customers. Love the restaurant itself but staff needs.

1st and last time for me and my family. The food was OK, but the service and quality of the restaurant is a lot to be desired. It’s hard to get the attention of the server for napkins, a cup of ice, and anything to drink. My family wasn’t the only table needing and waiting for anything.

First, they gave our table away—and finally seating us after a while, they then tell me I have to have a horizontal ID to order a beer…I’m turning 22 in 2 months. They lie to me about it being the law of the county—Cherokee County. However, nowhere is such a law that it must be horizontal—rude and discriminatory. Weird and maybe they should communicate to one another as a cohesive staff—oh, and stop lying to customers.

Always fun and great view of the lake. A little hot for inside today. Three of us had the fried catfish, one had boss hog burger and child hot dog. Loved the coleslaw and fried catfish! The hush puppies were also very good. Our favorite was the fried corn. I bc almost always get the river punch or dirty money drink. My mother in law got the pina colada. My husband got the frozen jack and coke.

Waited an hour after being seated, and I never saw a waitress. Very poor service. Food was nonexistent. Atmosphere: It’s not a fun place to wait an hour for nothing. I finally found a waitress right before walking out. She said there were only 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant, and she didn’t know I had waited to be seated, and she thought I seated myself, so she was ignoring me. She must have been ignoring a lot of people. There were 4 groups(12 people total) right next to me that had waited just as long as me after seating. I asked how long to get some food from the kitchen if I ordered now, and she said it would take well over an hour before any food ordered would be ready. I didn’t have the time to wait over another hour.
