Stopped here for dinner. We’re glad we did. I had a very nice prime rib dinner with 2 sides and soup. I enjoyed everything. My dinning partner had the keg tots appetizer and Cobb salad. He is still talking about how good they were. The highlight was our server Ellen. She was on top of everything.

Food was good. Exceptional burger but fries were little piece and not many. Side salad served in a small bowl making it difficult to keep the lettuce in it. Folks smoking cigarettes and pot on the front porch and the side door was left open with people smoking in the opening. Open door allowed flies to come in. Food took 20-25 minutes to arrive. Mine was luke warm but the burger was nice and freshly cooked. My pasta would have be much better if hot and they could afford to put more then a tiny amount of sauce on it. It seemed like the waitress would not come to the table unless she had reason to go to all three tables at once. Poor lighting made for a gloomy atmosphere. I guess this was a one and done for us.

Just discovered this place three weeks ago…it’s my new favorite for the North Country! Last time, Ellen waited on us last time. Melissa waited on us this time. Both women are experienced, professional servers… which is so hard to find these days! Food is excellent, service is kind, friendly and impeccable! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out.

Their house burger with bacon jam and Gouda cheese is amazing. Had two other bacon jam burgers recently (one near Utica and the other in Maryland) and the Cleveland House’s was better than the other two. Their fries and onion rings are great too.

Nice hometown atmosphere. Bartender/waitress was super nice and accommodating, especially in such freezing weather! Food was good. Burgers the bomb! Would be nice to have regular sized pizzas there. We were looking for good NY style pizzas, but due to weather couldn’t drive far. Would definitely go back next time we are in town.
