We tried this place tonight because we wanted something new. I’ve had Indian food in the past, and it always left me disappointed, so my expectations were really low coming here. However, thank God, the food here was the best Indian food that we’ve had in Evansville. Our waiter recommended our appetizer and main dishes. We had the Palak Chaat, which had great flavor and was surprising because it has a sweet flavor. I would recommend you try it. Our main dishes were good.

As good as this place smells driving down diamond ave. I was expecting a full parking lot on a friday night but to my surprise there were only a few cars. The crowd will show you were the good stuff is hiding, but looks are deceiving with Bombay Spice. Escaping typical corporate chain restaurants, i was greeted with channa batura(fried bread w. Chickpea sauce, onion kulcha(onion bread), lamb vindaloo(spicy lamb and potato curry), and kulfee(mango ice cream). Everything is homemade down to the ice cream and very distinctive flavors. I challenged the chef to make my vindaloo super spice which he joyfully accepted. My only complaint was the restroom was overwhelmed with a sewage smell that bout ran me out of there! I figured it may be a temporay setback for them and will be resolved soon. If it weren’t for the restrooms offensive smell, Bombay Spice would have gotten 5 stars from me. I will return in the future to give them that star if they have the restrooms fixed.

This place is wonderful! Beautiful restaurant, helpful and friendly staff, and delicious food. I had the Palak Chaat and Garlic naan as an appetizer, and Lamb shahi korma as an entree. I will definitely be returning soon to try more menu items.

Very nice place. Friendly staff that was very helpful in picking out what to eat. We had the goat curry, butter chicken and a chicken and vegetables entree that was magnificent. We also ordered the big basket of non bread in different flavors which was delicious.

I go here a few times a year. I’m not going to say that it’s the best Indian food that I’ve ever eaten, but it is good and authentic Indian cuisine. I always eat off the buffet which has the staples and a couple of popular dishes. The service is non-existent after you’re seated, but what do you need from a buffet. I’ll keep going back and suggest that anyone else tries it as a good change of pace in dining options.

I love the ‘butter chicken’ with rice and the sweet carrots with the Naan bread <3 I've never had carrots anyway else like these <3. I can't really handle spicy so I don't eat much of the other stuff that they have but the flavor is great until that heat sneaks up on you lol
