First time customer and I would not return honestly. Main factor is the staff, followed closely by cost for what I received.

I ordered through ActiveMenus. The process was easy, I received a detailed message about my order with link to address, order summary, time it would be ready and directions for when I showed up to the restaurant. Potbelly’s had my food waiting right on the online order rack. All I had to do was walk in, find my order, and grab it! The food was delicious (a turkey sub with provolone, lettuce, Mayo, mustard, onions and peppers on white thin and an Avocado turkey sub on wheat, and a bag of the delicious oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies)

The reason for this low rating is all related to the customer service experience. The man taking my order never greeted me, just kind of grunted, it was a 0 out of 10 customer service experience. It was 11:45am last Thursday and there was no line. No issue with the food quality, prices, cleanliness of the store etc., this is isolated to customer service. Whoever the district manager is needs to make a visit to the store and meet with the staff to figure this out. He had no name tag so I can’t say who this was for sure. John is listed on my receipt but I think John was who rang my order up. So again not sure but my guess is this should be easy to figure out who the low performer is here. Thanks for the opportunity to comment – I hope this offers an opportunity for the store to improve.

Haven’t been to this location in a while… what a disappointment. I think I had the same “grunty” guy that another person mentioned. No line and he barley even spoke and did not come off as friendly or remotely happy to be there. I then went to sit down to eat and witnessed him twisting the braids in his hair for over a minute in the line. He wast then biting his fingernails. No gloves and this is the dude that starts your sandwich…GROSS! (at least it goes through the toaster I suppose right??). The cashier lady was also not very warm. This experience was NOT IT!

I usually get the same meal, but after accumulating enough points for a free sandwich reward, I decided to get something different. Needless to say, after taking one bite, I realized it wasn’t very good. The sandwich was overly sauced and certain toppings, only made the texture worse. I went back to see if I could get it remade in a better way, only to be told I’d have to purchase another. This only led to unnecessary back and forth banter, before the employee agreed to remake it. I left with the food, but didn’t even eat it. The level of difficulty it took to obtain said sandwich, honestly ruined my appetite. I just threw it in the trash. I’ll definitely go to the Cary location from now on.

Terrible. Will never come back. We ordered 2 combos for lunch and a kids meal and spent over $30. The service was okay.. everyone behind the register was extremely soft spoken so we couldn’t hear a word they were saying on top of the fact that the person who made my sandwiches didn’t communicate with the cashier what we ordered which resulted in having to repeat what we ordered 3 times before she got it right- all while management was sitting at a table nearby chatting. On top of this I could barely find the meat on my sandwich which was suppose to be a Turkey Club and I ended up with some kind of shredded something – definitely not worth the cost. My son said his cheese pizza sandwich was basically bread and sauce… an 8 year old – who isn’t picky at all… pointed this out. And the kids cookie was 1 bite for him.. like what? All I’m saying is think twice before you go. We wont be back.

New sandwich place on my radar…nice edition..first on my try list was the Pizza Sub..yummy yummy. Nice and polite and friendly. Clean with outdoor seating. And their Covid-19 game face is legit.. Masks on staff members demarcations for space and over all a very clean looking establishment.

Potbelly offers truly outstanding hot sandwiches on white or wheat bread in a fun causal environment. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the service was friendly and speedy. Beware the hot peppers will make you sweat so they aren’t for the feint tongue. Strong recommendation.
