Came here for a meeting in the conference room. My favorite part about this place is Free coffee. Conference room was big and open no complaints there. I ordered a Old Tyme chicken sandwich it was really good a bit dry but pretty decent. Employees were very nice. They didn’t seem like they were quick on their feet but got the job done. Inside was nice and clean including the bathrooms. Come stop by for some food eatin’.

The best barbecue. I had Brunswick stew as a side and potato salad both were delicious. Others in my party order collards, fried chicken and mac and cheese everything was delicious. A fast friendly service from the staff. Very welcoming atmosphere.

It was my husband’s second time there mine and my mother’s first. I thought the food was good. Portions are way more than I can eat, so you will have leftovers if you don’t have a big appetite. I loved the atmosphere with all the woodworking and pictures. Great stories if you’re lucky enough to hear them.

We visited a site coming from the beach once and searched all over until we found a closer site. Love the fresh seafood and the hush puppies are TO DIE FOR -OMG!!! Not sweet but so good, like addictive.

Visiting in NC, went there for Sunday lunch after Church. Never heard of this place. Good selection on the menu. I always have questions about the menu at a new place. They had this huge menu on the wall behind the counter. It was a neck breaker looking up at it. I finally chose the shrimp, Mac &. Cheese and greens. Hush puppies are included. Everything was tasty.

I stopped in Jacksonville, NC to get the 12 piece family deal to go. Got it and drove 30 minutes to our destination only to find out we didn’t get the 12 piece. We got 4 wings, 2 legs, 1 thigh and 1 breast. Yes I trusted but I should have checked. The chicken was under everything else. I called as soon as we got to our location and spoke to the manager. All she said is that they must have gotten the order mixed up. I sure hope that’s the case. She said I can come back to get the missing 4 pieces. So 30 minutes back? I asked if I can pick it up later to which she agreed. So once again, 30 minutes to Moores which was not on our way home but not it was more principal. Arrived at the store and waited until she was done talking. She asked if I was the one from the phone, I said yes. She asked what pieces I wanted and I said since I was loaded with wings and legs none of those please. She handed me a box in a bag and that was it. No I’m sorry, our bad, nothing. I work in customer service also and will say when a mistake is made and obviously our fault i usually give a bit more than a box in a bag. We frequent the New Bern Moores and will never go back to the Jacksonville location. Note to Jax, y’all really need to brush up on tact, customer service, and hospitality.

Was in town from Maryland, and I must say that it reminded me of Mission BBQ in my area of Maryland. Everything was great, and I loved the fish sandwich. I definitely will be eating there the next time I’m in North Carolina..

Good food. Bbq is delicious, but the chicken is dry. The portion sizes for sides is incredibly small. I received one spoonful of mac and cheese. Not kidding. Hoping that isn’t normal.

I visited this location for the first time and was very disappointed. I’ve eaten at the New Bern location and it was a wonderful experience. When I pulled up to the drive through it wasn’t working and there was a sign that said pull up to the window. I ordered three flounder plants and when I got home I was deeply disappointed. I requested corn bread instead of hush puppies and the corn bread was flat and fried hard and super greasy. There was no tartar sauce for our fish either and the management said you have to ask for it. He also let me know that he usually talks customers out of ordering the corn bread because it’s not traditional and he finds it disgusting. The macaroni and cheese was like soup. I called about the order and was told I could drive back across town to get hush puppies and tartar sauce or they would put my name in the book for a free order of hush puppies on our next visit. While I provided my husbands name I’m confident that we will not be eating here again.
