Beautiful venue – But sadly feels neglected. White linens were dirty with paper overlaid which was also dirty. We snuck a clean paper from another table. I ordered coffee- was good and strong. Came in a lovely pot & poured out by the server. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and unflavoured, potatoes seasoned enough for the eggs to taste nice. Sausage was good as was bacon. Show stopper was the small dish of apple w smoked ham. That was delicious. Sadly the bakery/restaurant was cold to sit and eat in. We kept our coats on. Would we return… no.

Too highfalutin for me. Eggs Benedict was 22 bucks and mostly tasted like cheese. Holindaise sauce was tasteless. Who puts cheese on a Benedict. My wife got the good morning breakfast which reminded me of some sterile Norwegian breakfast. Never again

It’s the third time I try this place. Probably the last. I value good food but most importantly good service and welcoming people, and this was not the case here.

The “chocolate chocolate charlotte” cake left much to be desired. I’m not even kidding when I say it is 50% frosting. Extremely disappointing.

the french toast is a very “wet” french toast, which is how i prefer mine but beware if you like a drier french toast. the bananas served with it were extremely unripe, were hard and bitter, but otherwise was good.

Very relaxed and cozy breakfast place. Their orange juice was refreshing. I specially liked their potatoes.

They were very kind, offering a sample of the two pastries we asked for. The coffee and the tea were very good, and so the pastries (the strawberry and cream cake had real cream), not the usual trash you get at Starbucks and the like.

This is my go-to brunch spot in Santa Barbara and I always order the Viking platter. I love Scandinavian food and this dish has got a little bit of everything. The herring is amazing. The pate portion size is also very generous. My favorite part is it’s served with their made in-house pumpernickel bread. It’s too bad they don’t sell the bread in loaves, because I cannot find anything comparable anywhere in Santa Barbara.
