Had to wait 10 minutes to be seated after calling in advance for reservations. Hostess was busy talking on the phone. Cook was quiet and polite. Waitress definitely need some skills on how to wait tables. She refilled our glasses once, brought out the bills, and stood at the table waiting for each to pay. She did not offer any suggestions, we had to ask for our ice cream or sherbet that was included in the price after we had paid our bills. I told her 3 different times that I wanted sherbet. Food was okay. Would not suggest it on my list of places to eat. Would have left a much better tip had we received better service and acted like you enjoy your job instead of it being a chore.

They definitely have the best sushi around and their sumo sauce is absolutely mesmerizing! If you’re going to try Sushi, make sure you try it here first because they absolutely are the best around, without a doubt.

Love love love this place! Their food is great, I don’t eat sushi but my husband does and he loves their sushi. I usually eat hibachi dinners which are absolutely delicious. I love their teriyaki chicken and fried rice especially. Their drinks are amazing. I especially love their lemon drop drinks.

I’ll start out by saying the atmosphere here is mellow, not to loud, or crowed. The service has been good, and consistent upon each visit. The sushi, and dinner combination have always been prepared fresh, constantly delicious each time. Great place.

Contrary to what some have said, the Sushi is good. Maybe not the BEST I’ve ever had but it’s good. Yes, even compared to Greenville or Raleigh. A little too much sauce for my taste though. I always ask for it on the side.

Worst service! Sat a sushi bar for 15 min no one offered a drink let alone gave me a order sheet. I get the fact it’s busy but still not a excuse. There was two of us (not together ) asked for device and all I saw was the host walking around with his head cut off. Thought at least he could take drink order. Guess not. Glad I don’t live here then I don’t have to think about eating or not eating there.

Great place for Japanese cuisine in Goldsboro. Our server, Chris, had a great attitude and made sure we were well taken care of. He was friendly, polite and full of smiles. Salmon sushi was great as always. Eggrolls are always good. I have yet to be disappointed with the food, but great servers like Chris help Sumo earn four stars.

I’m giving this place one star! If I could give the server 5 stars I would, CANDI was my server she was absolutely phenomenal! She was the BEST SERVER EVERRRR!!!!! now I can’t say much about the management. I asked around for the name of the guy, and another server told me TED?! he’s not very professional and disgusting toward his employees!

This place was recommended to me by a family friend because I had recently moved to goldsboro and enjoy sushi very much. After dining here, the sushi was better than other places in town but is not worth coming back for. I found the sushi to be lower quality and not very appetizing. Also the room and table that my husband and I were seated at was dark and felt very confining.
