We’ve been ordering from Village Table for years. Especially loved their depot breakfast sandwich with chili. Learned today they no longer make chili….super bummed. Hope management considers bringing it back. (PS Uber eats still has chili on the menu and we paid for it, but received no chili).

Taco Bowl Salad is one of our favorites among the great sandwiches but but but for the last few orders we are noticing a nasty chemically aftertaste. Its as if the crunchy edible taco bowl were sitting in open air and someone sprayed cleaning solution which is then absorbed by the taco bowls. Not cool since we’re ingesting whatever chemicals are being sprayed around.

I used to love this place when I first tried it a little over a year ago. However, the last few months, the service and food has not been what it used to be. A few days ago I ordered the kale salad from their menu for pickup, with two extra toppings and the steak. What I received was a little bit of kale, a ton of iceberg lettuce, some cold burnt steak and only the two additional toppings I had asked for, the rest of the toppings that came with the salad were missing. But I was charged for the full salad I had ordered. I called, and they said they can give me a credit for the same salad on a different day. The next day, I called in to order the salad, I tried to explain to the girl which salad I wanted, I mentioned the toppings that came on the original Kale salad to avoid any misunderstandings. She cut me off and said she knew what the salad came with. I picked up the salad, and when I got home saw that I again received a little bit of kale, a ton of iceberg lettuce, the two additional toppings and some burnt cold steak.. oh and a different dressing 🙂 I understand mistakes happen, but it has been at least 5 circumstances where the food has been disappointing and the service has been very rude. Used to be a great place, but I won’t be going back.

This doesn’t stand out. It doesn’t look special. But the food is **amazing**. Like, “can’t go wrong, no matter what” food. The breakfast sandwiches, which is how I discovered them, are perfect. When you order online, the substitution options are plentiful and easy to use – and they always get it right. You just go and pick up your order and enjoy. If you go in person, the service is friendly, everyone is nice, it is super-clean, but it does take some time if you go during busy hours (basically – busy breakfast hours and busy lunch hours — better to order in advance and pick up.)
