We were on our way from NC and stopped in Johnson City. We were starved and needed to find a restaurant that was open earlier in the evening. We found the Rio De Brazil and as soon as we entered, a gentlemen by the name of Laurie showed us around the restaurant and guided us to the wonderful salad bar consisting of salad, smoked salmon, shrimp, imported cheeses, cold cuts and polenta and many other appetizing hot dishes from Brazil.

Service was excellent! Owner/manager was very attentive. Food was high quality. Truly a gem in the area. I’ve been to military style eateries and this one is top notch with a personal feel. Atmosphere was very enjoyable.

The food was good. It was very comparable to other Brazilian Steak Houses. The salad was was great. The menu lists $50.00 per person, however a person will OFFER your table shots throughout your dining experience. We thought the small shots were complimentary. They are NOT. This was not explained to us. Our bill was 40.00 Higher than expected. We will not return and neither will the couple dining with us. Very unexpected and surprised.

My hubby took me here for our 13th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely amazing!! We had several servers and each server was polite, attentive, & knowledgeable. They made our time great. Their prices are high but you get well worth the price in unlimited meat (chicken, steak, pork, lamb, shrimp)!! The only recommendation I had was. We took our son and he hardly ate but still charged as an adult. He’s 10. Maybe a kids price would be great. Other than that. I highly recommend your family tries.

After going there two separate times, the entire staff is very friendly and provides great service! The meats and grilled pineapple are extremely delicious, and the salad bar is stocked with quite a few imported items along with sides! All you can eat table service was a learning curve to avoid being overwhelmed. Highly recommended for an amazing meal! Thank you to the staff for this experience!

Amazing dinning experience! Great place for a date. So many options for sides that are displayed very beautifully on a couple buffets with every condiment under the sun. Then when you flip your card over they non stop bring slabs of meat and shave them right on to your plate. I highly recommend the pineapple and lamb! So delicious, I will definitely be going again.

Rio De Brazil: Went right at 4pm when they open. This location is so beautiful, we’d been before to the old location. It’s very bright and open. The bar looked cozy and cute, if we weren’t able to be seated right away we would’ve had wine while waiting in the bar. The staff was super friendly, the dining room and salad bar were very clean and the salad bar options were amazing! Fresh fancy cheeses, veggies and fruit. Almost like a giant charcuterie spread. The Brazilian cheese bread they bring to the table is fantastic and naturally a gluten free option if you need. The meats were all seasoned and prepared to perfection and they DO NOT STOP COMING!! The wine list is vast and the service was on point. We will definitely be back to visit soon!
