YUM! Highway 97 was blocked on my way to Portland so I decided to stop in Toppenish for a bite. I came in and was promptly seated and served. I had the tacos de camarones (shrimp tacos) and they were honestly so so good. Perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp, and a multitude of harmonious flavors a textures combined in the rest of the taco that made it fresh, zingy, spicy and a little creamy.

Best hot sauce at every table that they make on site. The menu looks standard Mexican, but It’s unlike anything I’ve had before (flavors from Michoacan, Mexico); it’s like I’ve been invited up a family meal that someone’s awesome grandmother has prepared. You could taste years of culinary expertise and delightful fresh flavors from the local farms.

In a valley filled with Mexican restaurants and taco trucks Las Palomas is by far the best. I’ve had everything on the menu but am particularly fond of the pork ribs in green sauce. If you want real authentic and delicious Mexican food this is the place.
