Katin in the bag
Sushi melts in your mouth, however this meat is not chicken in the chicken teriyaki dish. Nor is it pork, rabbit, pheasant, lamb, deer, duck, alligator, eel or frog. I have been eating chicken for 52 years and this meat is not chicken nor have I nor my husband ever tasted whatever animal or rodent this is in the United States. I’m going to get a DNA analysis and sue the restaurant if it’s squirrel, cat, dog, or rat. In addition the rodent or animal is old, not fresh at all, tasteless and I’m tempted to contact CBS to do a story on this. I will go public on the news with my findings. But I will assure you on my child’s life that this is not chicken.

Really, really good! I have had it several time and it is consistently good! I love the local personalities that work their and it is clear they are trained in hospitality and committed to a wonderful experience. The food is very good! Fun atmosphere. Would eat here consistently!

The staff were friendly and the reservation was easy to make. I also have a soy allergy and it was perfectly accommodated when I told them about it. I will say there’s a disparity in the wait time between the hibachi meals and sushi meals but it didn’t bother me too much.

Brought our boys in tonight to celebrate our oldest son’s 19th birthday. Didn’t realize you needed reservations but made some when we got there and it was totally worth the wait. Our chef Jose was extremely awesome!!! He kept the table talking and amazed at his talent. When we go back, I’ll call ahead and reserve him and a table 🙂 All the food was fantastic from start to finish. Cooked and prepared perfectly. Unforgettable evening. Our waitress was also on top of her game.

After church dinner was on the way home. We looked for something we all would enjoy. This restaurant popped up in our search so we chose to try it. We each had similar hibachi dinner choices. The food was great. The cooking was very entertaining and tasted great! I would highly recommend this location.

I use to love this restaurant. I wouldn’t eat another other hibachi restaurant if it wasn’t Sumos . Over the past few years it has just went down hill. The food and service are no longer top notch. I keep giving them chances but yesterday was the last straw for me. I will never walk back in the establishment again. We walked in at 4:30 when they opened and were told we could not be seated until after 830 because they had saved all their tables for reservations and no room for walk ins. The attitude and rudeness we were given was the worse it’s ever been and very unacceptable. We left and went to Wasbi in Douglasville and was seated immediately, had the best service and the food was amazing! Sumo do better and fix your employee issues and their manners!

If you have a special occasion or just want somewhere great to eat, then this is the place to go. Super nice place to dine. Hibachi and sushi tasted divinely. The chefs put on a very entertaining performance with our meals. The price is well worth the food. I cannot wait to go again.

Miso soup is delicious. Customer service can be hit or miss. I really try to give this place chance after chance, because I thoroughly enjoy the miso soup. But customer service is lacking whether on the phone or in person.
