We were visiting South Carolina and we stopped at this place on our way back from jet skiing. We decided to sit at the bar, had excellent food everything is fresh and so tasty! The gator bites were definitely a favorite. The atmosphere of this place is so calming and the staff you meet there are so kind! May lay was the bartender and she truly made our experience spectacular. She treated us just like a friend! We loved it so much went back 3 more times! The pricing is very affordable as well! I hope to return one day!

I came to Crab Catchers with a group of friends. It wasn’t in the middle of of north Myrtle beach so it wasn’t super crowded. We had to wait about 25 minutes on a Friday night which is not bad! Our waitress was very nice and we had great service. We all ordered crab legs and they were so good!!! They were also such a great price we’ll definitely come back!

I was actually shocked by how good the food was. We ordered 3lbs of snow crab legs, a pound of shrimp, calamari, and more. All 3 of those were 10 times as good as I would have expected. Not a tourist trap at all. Other fried foods were ok as expected, but their fresh shrimp, snowcrab, and fried calamari out of this world.

Got a referral to this eatery from the catamaran cruise…located it and walked thru the indoor area to an outside bar and dining area under sails. Sat down and watched the workers juggle tables and tasks. Finally got some sweet tea and shrimp tail with …then ordered a crab sandwich and catch of the day. Food came out hot and fresh…despite the yellow internals coming out of the crab. Busy little place for the locals and out of state visitors.

The kid’s food was great probably because it was fried. My husband and I have some food restrictions and we can’t eat too much fried food for example so we got grilled shrimp and it wasn’t the best. Our potatoes tasted off.

Love the vibe this place has. A must to sit out back along the ICW. Bartender is always good. Platter was fresh and tasty. Only complaint was scallops were on bottom and got soggy from everything piled on top and platter could have a few more fries for $40.
