Wings were excellent. Sauce on the pizzas was too sweet. We order every year we are here on vacation and normally it’s very good. Somethings changed with the Sauce.

We spent the night at a hotel in Effingham as we drove long distance and looked at Dash for a restaurant for delivery to the hotel. We chose Joe’s Pizza and Pasta and did not think too much about it. We ordered a chicken Alfredo and a side salad. Gosh what a nice surprise. First the amount was enough for two. I know enough about Italian food to know it is hard to find authentic Italian food in the US (let alone in a medium size city) and trust me: this is authentic. The pasta seems home made, the sauce was light and definitely they cooked the garlic in the sauce the way true Italians do (and not in the excess that Americans think that Italians do) . The chicken was sliced in a unique manner. They sent 2 rolls with it. All for a super reasonable price and that was more than enough to feed 2 people. Maybe because I had low expectations, I was wowed with the overall experience. I liked it so much that I might route myself through Effingham the next time I drive through this area just because of the pull this restaurant had on me.

In the street of old town, this is a perfect place for a pizza joint. The atmosphere is casual. The meals were just ok. The pizza and sandwich had a delicious sauce that has a touch of sweet BBQ flavor and would have loved more. This place is a good for cheese lovers as it is a little thick. They offer your standard pizza, subs and salads. They have a little bar area also to the side.

Joes is my favorite place to get pasta or pizza in Effingham the sauce is so sweet and the food is always hot and fresh! This time I ordered the baked meat balls for a appetizer also a full order of spaghetti for my main meal and it comes with a salad and bread sticks or just bread both are good! Great meal amazing family and great small town business if you are ever passing through definitely have to try Joes Pizza!

I had a BBQ chicken and pineapple pizza. There is not a sign directing eat in or take out or a hostess to greet you so ordering wasn’t a real clear process. The staff are super friendly and talk to every table occupied. Carsen was quick, spoke clearly and was knowledgeable about the product. I would eat here again easily.

So sad to say that this is the third time we have had poor delivery service. Two previous was missing items and this time ordered through door dash, notification said driver was 1 minute away for over 10 minutes so I called and was assure the driver had the food along with a couple other orders and must have hit the button too soon..? Then got notification it was delivered and had to call a second time-order was dropped at wrong house. We even drove over to the street behind us to see if it was delivered there on a doorstep. Then called a third time to check on delivery – unbelievable that after all the issues and knowing we were upset that when we finally got it over almost 2 hours after order, again missing a salad and garlic bread. Now if that was all, OK but seriously?
