Absolutely wonderful experience! We stopped in for an early dinner and had a nice seat by the window. Our server, Isaac, was so sweet and attentive! The basil rolls were delish and we had Pad Thai and Basil Pho. Both dishes were exceptionally flavorful! We will definitely be back!

Basil Thai is located in the Greenville Downtown. Convenient location as it’s right next to the parking spot.

Basil Thai is great Thai food with generous portions. The atmosphere is elevated making it great for a business lunch or date night. I enjoy their Pad Thai and Massaman curry. I am obsessed with their chicken coconut soup. Obsessed. It’s also conveniently located downtown Greenville near public parking and local shops.

Made a reservation but the host said she didn’t have it… and didn’t have enough room for us, so we asked to sit at the bar. The table behind us sat empty THE ENTIRE TIME we were there. We were only 3 people. It felt like the host was judging us. The bartender was very nice and she did a good job at least but the way the host treated us was so rude we won’t be back.

Good thai food at an affordable price located in downtown Greenville. They don’t take reservations but we didn’t have to wait for a table once we arrived. The restaurant was pretty crowded but service was still prompt and the server, Ed, was very friendly. There was great flavor on my basil mixed seafood dinner and the calamari wasn’t chewy, as it often is, at some other spots.

Was looking for a nice place to go with my friend to celebrate my birthday. Decided to go downtown for Restaurant Week. Basil Thai had a very nice 3 course meal for $30. I ordered the crab ragoons for appetizer.. Pad Thai for entree.. And Chocolate cake for dessert.. My friend ordered veggie egg rolls for appetizer.. Basil Thai with tofu for entree.. And coconut cake for dessert.. The food was wonderful.. I had enough for lunch the next day. The server was very friendly.

A lot of reviews look fake, or things have changed over time. The portion size was very small. I was charged extra twice for “additional vegetables” and my bowl was only half full when it arrived. Without those “extra vegetables” the bowl only contained 4 tablespoons of curry for $22.

We went for dinner on Saturday evening, there was no wait. The server was super friendly and helped us choose from the menu. We had red Thai curry with chicken and fried rice with chicken. The chicken was undercooked in both the dishes, it was too chewy. The menu felt on the overpriced side, almost $20 for fried rice with chicken, however the portion size was good. The place is in downtown and the ambience was excellent too. Just that the food could have been better. There are better Thai places in Greenville and Spartanburg too.
