Fabulous old-style diner in Asbury Park, famously featured in Anthony Bourdain’s New Jersey episode of Parts Unknown. The vanilla milkshakes were awesome. Don’t miss their famous sub sandwiches. Super friendly and efficient service.

Have been going to this other place nearer to me because that have great porkroll, egg & cheese sandwiches, really good!! Let me just say, I found a new place! Frank’s porkroll, egg & cheese is far superior! Not even close! Wow! Now I have to try the rest of the menu- I’m sure it’s excellent as well! I’ll be back!!

The only reason I came here was because of the reviews since I’m always on the go for work. Little did I know it’s “only cash” .. ok fine and then I order a 6oz steak sandwich for 13.95 and get a bottle of water for 2.00. I’m thinkin it’ll come out to be around $18 with tax. Instead she tells me it’s 24.95 . I said ok and paid even through maybe I was wrong. I later asked for a receipt and lady in pink hair is like “can I write it down?” Uh no.. then she gives me a regular receipt 10 seconds later without delay and then she says she charged me for the 8oz steak sandwich instead of 6oz. There is also a bunch of random “Tax1 Tax2 and Dept1” up charges which doesn’t make any sense. Seems to me like money is hurtin for them and they stealing it off of customers. They should audit place. Mind you the steak sandwich was thrown on there without it being cut and all the fat was there and was barley cooked medium. Joke

We ordered the veggie omlet and french toasts both were delicious, good portion size. Very friendly diner staff, the server gave us a complimentary jelly donut which was warm, fresh, and delicious! Good place to eat in the area.

I came in and started to order, as I started talking she walked away without saying a word. I walked over to where she was to continue my order and she started speaking over me almost ordering for me. When the food was done she handed me the bag not saying a word and starring me down as I grabbed it from her. I got better costumer service at McDonald’s.
