The food is terrible. As an Indian I am obligated to protect others who are not Indian from this terrible atrocious restaurant. The Dal Curry was just a lump of lentil with absolutely no salt at all. The Bhaigan Bartha was terribly sour. The Aloo Mutter had no Aloo(potatoes) and mainly consisted of peas and carrots (the frozen kind). I was actually confused and thought I had the wrong order. The chicken tikka masala was decent but had only 6 small pieces of chicken. Fish masala was completely bland even though I had requested medium spicy. To top it all off, when I called the restaurant to report their ridiculous preparation, I was met with no answer. The phone just keeps ringing. These people should just close the place because it is hopeless. Of course, it cost over $90.

I’m thrilled that Southlake has this LOVELY Indian restaurant to dine at lunch. The little buffet area has a perfect number of Indian dishes to try. The staff is very friendly, and one feels as if they are honored to be dining in their home when they arrive. Everything was delicious and it was a treat to eat here. The complimentary mango drink at the end of the buffet (forgive me, I’m not going to try to be an expert here) was delicious and refreshing after some of the spicier items. After leaving, I realized I had failed to end my meal with a glass of Chai Tea and for that I was bitterly disappointed.

The buffet is the best I’ve had in years. Great variety, well spiced and finally Indian food with a little kick! We Texans like some heat! They’ve re-done the decor to make it very inviting. I could eat here three times a week it’s that good.

I love Indian food and cannot bring myself to give anybody serving such ambrosia less than 2 stars, but I was very VERY DISAPPOINTED with my experience. I go in and am seated, everything seems great. When I go to find some food at the buffet, during peak lunch hours, I find that the food is old, lukewarm, and the chicken is scarce and dry. It appeared to me that there were no intentions to replace any of it, as I was there for almost 40 minutes and no dishes were brought out. The servers were sweet, but inattentive. My water glass was empty for about 8 minutes and there were only 4 other patrons in the restaurant. I have been a waiter and worked in restaurants before. There is no excuse for that. I apologize, and I hope that the restaurant improves in the future. I will not be one to find out though. Maybe it was just an off day, and I understand that some buffets have hit or miss days, but my feelings are the same.

We are return customers and liked the taste. When you ask for most spicy food, they don’t just add chili powder on top. Best place for Indian food in the neighborhood. This probably had a different management earlier when food sucked, but had changed for good!

The food that was actually on the buffet was tasty but lacked variety and no potato disches. Multiple items needed to be replenished and never were. The food was pretty spicy, more so than other American Indian restaurants. You can decide if that is something that interest you. The service was terrible. Dirty plates sat on our table for over 10 minutes and difficult to get a refill on drink.

I was unsure about coming here after reading the reviews, but I was pleased with how wonderful everything was.

So many things wrong with this place. They had maybe a quarter of their tables full, and completely ignored us for twenty minutes. Then they brought our dinners at least 10 minutes apart. The actual food was of decent to poor quality, depending on the dish. The lamb was gristly and tough. The vegetarian dish we got had under cooked lentils (I think), that were crunchy and reminiscent of fish bones. One dish had whole cardomom pods in the mix, and it was like a perfume explosion in your mouth. Never offered us refills on our drinks. The biggest slap in the face was that when we complained about the poor service and the one meal that was inedible they offered us $5 off, that’s $5 off a $15 dish that literally we could only take a few bites of. Save your money, go ANYWHERE else.

4.5 starts. I was pleasantly surprised after reading not-so-good reviews. Food was spicy, but not too spicy, plenty of options for buffet. Rice pudding was excellent! Food was fresh on lunch buffet at 2pm. I will definitely come back. Have been driving to Irving, but I think I like here better. Staff friendly as well.

Edit: On our last visit, there were very few buffet dishes available. No sag paneer, no vegetable curry, no fried onions. There were two or three vegetable dishes and three or four meat dishes. They no longer delivered nan to the table, but included it as a dish on the buffet. Two of the three deserts were sour. The price is the same.
