I love getting their crispy fried chicken burger with bacon and cheddar added and cajun tots! Delicious and a staple to my trip to Cannon Beach every time. My wife loves their oyster shots, and most of the menu options we’ve had are great. They have an alright rotating tap list (5 or so options) and usually have a good range to pick from. Cocktails are decent. Inside is fun to look around and a great place to play I Spy to stay busy with kiddos, or friends drinking. We typically gravitate here vs Pelican brewing or Bills Tavern.

We stopped by for a quick drink and snack. Ordered the French fries and pretzels. They were ok. They ran out of calamari but it happens. I had espresso stout to drink.. that was yummy. Our friend ordered the wings. They were all right.

I chose this place purely based on the photos from previous reviews, and was not disappointed. The fish was good, though the fries were sadly a bit lacking. (I was hoping for more of a “thick cut, steak fry” style.) The cold turkey sandwich was amazing and fresh, and the tots were so crispy! Their “soup of the moment” was a Thai something and chicken quesadilla, which I chose to have a cup of… and wished I’d opted for a bowl. It was so good! We also had a couple beers and ciders, and shared a three shot of their hard oysters, so it did get a bit pricy by the end. Everything was good, and I understand being in a tourist town, but I’m not sure it was quite $40/person good.

Just a decent beach town spot for an easy bite. Nothing earth shattering here, but the fare is of decent quality and the servers were all very nice. I had a fried chicken sandwich with fries and a beer. I’ll eat there again.

This place was great until today. My family comes to this place 5-7x every summer to get their oyster shooters…well today, we weren’t blessed with the best waiter. She has the worst attitude and wasn’t apologetic when she came to our table late. We waited for an hour and half and our food never came. She insisted that she didn’t see us and never apologized. Really disappointed because I love this place. Not sure if it’s worth going back. I never had such bad service in my life until today.

We had multiple great meals at Screw & Brew during our recent visit to Cannon Beach. They are tucked into the center next to Sleepy Monk coffee house and have both outdoor and indoor seating. The beers we tried were all great and the food was delicious. We also had a fantastic Bloody Mary and the blackberry margarita special. For food, we tried the fish and chips, halibut sandwich (grilled and fried), halibut salad, and the Rueben. I would highly recommend stopping in if you’re visiting Cannon beach. Bonus that they are very dog friendly outside and provide water bowls for your pup!

The best place to get a drink in Cannon Beach! If you like amazing atmosphere and sarcasm go see Elliott on the bar side. The owner Ryan is a beautiful human who cares about his staff, but doesn’t know what an English Cucumber is…We will never drink anywhere else when we’re in town.
