Originally located at 10th & Douglas Street, Douglas Street Coffee has been in business since September 2011. We relocated to 215 E Douglas, inside the Handlebend bldg, in December 2019. We thought this was the only move we’d ever make, but we were asked to leave the HB bldg in 2023 when they decided to start their own coffee shop. We have relocated to our own building at 229 W Douglas St.
Regardless of our location, our top priority is to make your day better!
We offer a variety of coffee and specialty drink options (caffeinated and not!), and are constantly experimenting with new menu options to keep our customers happy.
Scones are fresh baked each morning, other baked goods and food options vary.

Excellent experience! Very lovely and helpful staff, beautiful space and lots of room, great for kids. Nice selection of cakes and pastries, lots of sandwiches too (no vegetarian options except a house salad, like most of Nebraska!). The coffee was really, really good. They do boba! I’d highly recommend this place.

Always amazing here with great customer service and atmosphere! So many flavors of drinks to choose from. And not horribly priced either I would say cheaper than Starbucks for the same quality. They also offer other items like ground coffee, baked items, t shrist sweaters and there is a super cute gift shop in there too. You can sit and chill and plug in. If you haven’t been go and try it. It’s a great coffee ☕ shop!
