We were visiting and this was hands down one of our favorite meals we ate! I have been to Argentina and had empanadas there, and these were more beautiful and stuffed full of flavorful fillings. My husband and I split a beef, chicken, ham & cheese, and the spinach & mushroom. Wow!! So good and now I’m home craving these delicious empanadas!!

Amazing beef empanadas with a ton of delicious beef per empanada. The spices on the meat all matched well with the provided sauces. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their ingredients and menu with very reasonably priced food for the area. The sauces were delicious, would have taken some of the chimichurri or golf sauce home if they ever carry in-house bottled sauces. The dessert empanadas were also sweet but well balanced, a great trade-off of apple versus crunch with the texture of the filling matching well with the hard shell. Just enough chocolate and powdered sugar on top to give a sweet taste on each bite.

Good empanadas in a “home-like” setting. Service was iffy, and value was lacking for a $7 empanada. They were delicious though, and seriously authentic so I highly recommend for the food, but not if you are seeking value in a meal.

If you’re going to go skiing at Heavenly, you absolutely NEED to stop by Empanash to get reenergized after hitting the slopes. This restaurant is tiny, but mighty, and it serves so really delicious empanadas. We’ve tried all of the flavors on multiple occasions – even when we weren’t starving and everything tastes good – and found that the food isn’t only delicious, but is consistently delicious every time. The crusts are always light and flaky, the fillings are generous, and everything is heated to order. The only complaint, which is a honestly a minor one, is that the place is tiny. If you happen to go on a busy weekend, table seating is sparce, but the restaurant does move quickly and again, the food is delightful. It’s a great budget meal to enjoy and still one of our favorite places to eat when in the Tahoe area.

We got the half dozen: 2 beef, 1 chicken, 1 corn, 1 ham, and 1 apple. They were all underwhelming. At first sight i was impressed because they were large and had a cool stamp on them but the flavor was really lacking and they didn’t taste very authentic. The beef was missing the traditional egg and raisins. The corn and ham had a sauce that lacked flavor. They felt a bit expensive but in guess in front have much to compare it to. I enjoyed the apple empanada for dessert.

Highly recommend! We got two delicious empanadas, the Popeye and the Cinner, and both were very good. Fair portions for a reasonable price! Staff were very friendly, good vibes.

Quick service restaurant with pre-made empinadas. The selection is great and they taste yummy. You also get unlimited salsa & sauces on the side.

We got the henhouse!! Shredded chicken mated with some really delicious spices bring an amazing flavor to this masterful small sized Empanadas. The place is small and cozy. Extremely tidy and great staff. Highly recommended!!!
