Could not be more happy that my boyfriend and I stopped here for something to eat. We had to kill some time waiting for the DMV down the street. We quite hungry and were told a Dunkin was close by. Passed this gem on our search and was greeted by Jay who was very welcoming. Decided to give it a try and am so happy we did. Food was amazing, atmosphere was relaxing and staff was friendly and helpful. We had the chili chicken and shrimp with yams, mac n cheese and rice. Definitely brightened our day and made our stomachs very happy!! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious bite or wonderfully made soul food!

AMAZING FOOD! it was delightful in this space. You could feel love. Pleasant greetings and food was DELICIOUS! it was even good the next day. My husband said the turkey wings were amazing and I enjoyed the beef ribs. All sides were phenomenal!!!

The cook has definitely changed here. The food used to be very good but is now subpar. I ordered meatloaf and was given something that looked like meatloaf but tasted like Salisbury Steak. Those are two different dishes! I should’ve known by the gravy on the meatloaf (instead of a traditional ketchup-based glaze) but honestly didnt pay too much attention to that. The mac and cheese and cabbage were ok, but I’m pretty disappointed that a culinary business is confusing Salisbury steak for meatloaf.

The food is amazing! I’ve only been twice; once last year and yesterday… When I tell you the food taste the same it taste the exact same, DELICIOUS!!!! Dam then greens was slamming, the Rasta pasta was slamming and so was the shrimp and salmon. I think we’re going to hire her to our catering for the upcoming double dutch competitions.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Friday, August aug 18, 2023- My daughter called to inquire if we could order 30 minutes before closing. Woman was rude and said, “No” the proceeded to give phone to someone else saying, “ Tell her because she’s not listening”. She asked a very simple question. Second person gets on phone and says, “ Sorry, we’ve already started putting things away”. Ok but…a half an hour before closing?

My first impression of the food was good. I got the platter of large shrimp in a butter lemon sauce with collard greens, and sweet yams with a choice of rice. After a long search I finally find a traditional soul food restaurant.
