Lovely little place. The staff were very friendly. Pasta came out hot. I can’t give an extensive review, but I will say that for the first visit, I liked it.

I ate here twice in a week while visiting Portland on a work trip. The food was very good, arrived quickly, and the server was friendly. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded both nights which was a little surprising given the good food and reasonable prices. Nice artwork on the walls as well.

Such beautiful food with obviously high quality ingredients, generous portions and excellent service. Always a very relaxing and satisfying meal. Wonderful cocktails too!

Grossly overpriced. Tiny portions, paid almost $80, to have two Chinese take-out size containers, and 2 croutons, disguised as garlic bread, sent to my house. Extremely underseasoned. Pasta was over cooked. Pasta water was not salted. Bland garbage. Grossly overpriced swill. No parm, No bread, no butter, no sides, unless you want to spend $13 on a side salad. Slightly better than Olive Gargen. Yet you pay 3 times as much and get 1/2 as much food. Highly recommend, not wasting your money here.

Well… I hate to point out the negative so I’ll just say this, I was extremely underwhelmed. They just didn’t do the little things that make dining out a good experience. Like giving us cutlery, bread and not reach across the table to hand someone their food. And lastly, the prices do not reflect the quality of the food. Meaning, it’s very expensive and not that great. Like I said, underwhelming.

Portland, OR has a vibrant dining scene and is represented well by La Buca Italian Cafe, despite just arriving in town and not having made reservations in advance, they were able to seat us immediately, choose outdoor seating to enjoy the weather, had a delicious bruschetta for an appetizer, a variety of pasta dishes for the main meal and skipped dessert, our server Corrin was outstanding in service and attention, their specialty drinks were yummy and the overall experience top notch, Covid protocols requires you to wait to be seated, indoor dining is limited but more freedom exists with outside dining, located on the corner of 28 Ave and Couch St., this is an easy place to find and a joy to indulge. 5 stars for great food, great service and fair prices, this should be a regular if you are a local, and a must visit if coming from out of town. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and the sweetest employees. The food came out incredibly fast, before I even finished my appetizer. We went out to Portland for a fun trip, and this was by far the best food I had. We are planning many more visits in the near future.

If in doubt, try the ‘Abituale’ (the usual) with penne, spicy sausage, and a tomato-cream sauce. Great casual atmosphere. Other menu items are terrific as well.

Great place for cocktails. Went there while waiting for a spot at Ken’s and got the margarita. Would definitely recommend as the food looked incredible. Staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Would return!
