It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I LOVE Whataburger. My family is from the Rio Grande Valley where Whataburger is king. While we’ve had a few locations in the Baton Rouge area, this location on Burbank is one of the best I’ve been to, both in quality of the food, friendliness of the staff, and overall ambiance. It’s rare that you actually want to eat inside of a fast food restaurant these days, but it is so cool and inviting here that you can’t help yourself!

Very good Avocado burger. The fries were hot and fresh and we received very good service. Nice place to stop and grab a quick lunch. It was 20 bucks for 2 adults, we each got the standard combos, no upgrades or shakes. I am hearing that I really need to try the shakes. Next time for sure.

Ordered a chocolate shake, got vanilla. When I told them it was vanilla they informed the that it was chocolate. Didn’t know they made clear chocolate that taste like vanilla.

This Whataburger is very hit or miss. If you come in the morning, the service is usually good. We came in at 8:40 last night. There was no line to order and it took almost 40 minutes to get my food. The crew kept messing up peoples orders and giving out orders to the wrong people. Employees had earphones in, which I wouldn’t care if they could do their job. I’m not sure if it’s a lack of staffing or the staff itself but I won’t be coming back here for awhile

First time eating at this location. I got a double meat, double cheese, mayo, and jalapeño burger. Large onion rings and water . My wife got a jr burger with fries and a coke. This has to be the best Waterburger outside the state of Texas. Love it! Double drive thru.
