I’ve never had bad food at Olde Tavern. Their service is always great, very friendly servers. The head chef/manager, Chris, is charming and makes you feel at home. I’ve tried everything on the menu and only one food item did I feel meh about, and that just because I don’t love fried fish. Their drinks are top notch and their specials are delicious and creative. Be sure to try one of their desserts because their desert chef is a maestro.

Tuesday night special of peel ‘n eat shrimp is so good! The salad was fresh. Our server did a great job of checking on us and replenishing our shrimp supply as we ate. We look forward to returning soon! Parking is our only issue…

Food is surprisingly good for a local pub. Service can be great, and sometimes just good. But for today’s times – we’ll take it. At least they have good servers and they care! Wings are good. Sandwiches are all very good. We really haven’t had a bad item on the menu.

Food was as good as ever. Service was a little slow. I was finished eating before anyone asked if we needed a drink refill. I’m sure they are under staffed like everyone else. Patience is key in today’s world.

I went here with some family members for my goodbye lunch. I was leaving for Japan, It was really, in my opinion, a little overcrowded, and nobody was trying to seat people. Everybody was crowded at the bar. No floor waiters. Not much choice on the menu. I take it as a place to hang out and drink, not really a place to enjoy lunch with family or friends for conversation. It’s just not my favorite place.

Amazing amazing wings!!! As someone from upstate NY I can say these are the best wings in Hickory. We will only be ordering wings from here from now on. Service was great too, we sat outside Friday 11/4 and our server was awesome. Didn’t catch her name but wish I could give her kudos here. Good beer selection and everything else we ordered was great too. Definitely recommend this place!
