Went here for a birthday dinner and would have preferred going somewhere else. The food was only okay, but definitely not worth the price as it lacked flavor. The sushi was the best part, I ordered the yum yum roll. For the main I got filet mignon and they mixed up meat temperatures after reiterating who ordered what. I have had better meat, even next door. I also expected better service for the caliber of restaurant they seem to hold themselves to according to their prices and atmosphere. Disappointing as I was hoping my birthday dinner would be better than okay.

Delicious Mother’s Day menu but the ambiance was ruined by the extremely long wait for the valet to get my vehicle. I was told by the valet they didn’t “know the location of my vehicle”. How can this happen? Very unacceptable 35 minute wait. This incident made me not want to return to the River House, as I only patronize businesses that care for its customers.

Our server Madalyn was great! This place is definitely one of my favorites in Nashville. As someone who has lived here for 10 years I’ve been to a bunch of restaurants and this has been one to remember. The appetizers, entrees and sides are very filling. Also the valet parking is very convenient! Great food place and highly recommended

Despite a few tired and grumpy employees having to adjust and cheer up, the food is wonderful and made to order with or without seasonings, butter, or oil. The building is beautiful, 25 feet of floor to rooftop glass walls on three sides. The bar is enormous and able to accommodate a lot of seated people. Modern marble and leather seating, low light ambiance, make The River House a must eat.
