Incredible tasty meals! The whole atmosphere of the place is awesome full of one dollar bills, vintage items, Blues memorabilia. The service was A+++!!! But the real reason to go to this place is their dishes! We tried fried chicken liver and they were pit of this world! Mac and cheese was the best I’ve ever had without a doubt. The crispiness of the fried chicken, and how juicy the chicken was made this really tasty! The sausage and chicken gumbo was full of flavors. I highly recommend this place!

AMAZING fried chicken! We usually get the 16 or 20 piece family deal that comes with four sides (large sides). The atmosphere is fun with a greasy spoon vibe. A must visit spot in Chattanooga

I really liked the vibe in this place. Food was top notch, service was really good. Can’t really ask for more. I had the catfish which was really good. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but definitely up there, especially for the price. The chicken was also hitting way above the price tag. The bang for your buck here is amazing. Would definitely come back.

I had read that it’s a local favorite and it did not disappoint! Great housemade tenders (none of that frozen stuff) and sides, great drink options.

This place is fantastic. I was very happy with the chicken, until I found out they were having crawdad boil the next day. The chicken and sides were very good, and the crawdad boil was even better. I had a 40 oz beer with it. The 4 pound crawdad plate was a little much for me so you better be hungry. I will always come back here. You will notice staff is easy on the eyes too.

The service isn’t great and it’s a little too pricey for what it is but the food was really good. I got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich which had coleslaw & pickles on it… all of which complemented each other very well. The fries that came with it were exceptional. I added a side of small Mac n Cheese which was GREAT. But it was a very small portion, costing an additional $4. Cool atmosphere though!

Overall, average experience. Service met expectations in the sense of getting our order fulfilled, but the food left a bit to be desired. Since it was kind of slow, it was seat yourself seating. Fried pickles were good and crunchy. We also ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich w/ mashed potatoes and fries, the 2-piece dark meal w/ mashed potatoes and green beans, and some soda/tea. My bf liked his sandwich overall, but thought it lacked spice for being a spicy sandwich but after adding the table hot sauce, he enjoyed it. He did love the fries though. We both wished we skipped the mashed potatoes, they were kind of lacking body and flavor. Same goes for the green beans. They also came out cold. Not terrible, just felt like the sides were missing something. I would have told my server something about it to remedy it, but we hadn’t seen her for a bit after the initial bite. I didn’t knock off points for my rating for that though, but something I’d mention. We weren’t offered drink refills either, but I’m not sure if that’s typical or not for this place either. My fried chicken was nice and tasty though. It was our first time there and we would maybe try it again if we’re ever drive through Chattanooga again, but it wasn’t my personal favorite. I don’t mind spending money for a good meal, but I don’t think the value was there. The meal quality just wasn’t up to par with its price point. I’m hoping it was just fluke, but if I’m ever back, I’ll be sure to come back and update the review. Side note, the place does look cool though and remember to park in the champy’s marked free parking spots to avoid being towed.
