Great experience here tonight! Our server, didn’t catch his name, was so nice and gave us great service! (tall brunette guy) Food was very good and the servings were just right. Even the lady who rang us up at the end was so kind and helpful. These people here really know how to serve people with great attitudes! We don’t see that very often in restaurants anymore, so we really notice and appreciate it when we see it! The next time we drive through Hickory, we will definitely return.

We were seated right away we call ahead for a reservation. The young lady that was our waitress was very knowledgeable about product courteous and kind and attentive. We had the fish special very good, we asked for our fried okra to be fried a little crispy it was perfect. Who doesn’t want to shop in their lobby? There was a beautiful blouse in there I most certainly would have bought it if there was a different size. What I did find that I especially liked and I bought three sets of them! Very reasonably priced it’s very pleased with this find! These are little salt and pepper shakers they were 99 cents each! Love them!

Dot gave us great service! She checked on us often and and kept our coffee full. My country fried chicken was very hot but my eggs and hash browns had gotten cool. (I’m assuming probably everything else was done 1st and waiting for the chicken to be ready). Everything had a good flavor though. We did a curbside pick up after a long day at the hospital. We went home and began to eat. We had the chicken and dumplings, smoky grilled chicken, meat loaf and home cooked chicken. Everything was fine until I bit into the home cooked chicken and the plastic it was wrapped in. The meal ended abruptly when I spit the plastic out of my mouth with the chicken still attached. It must not be the first time this has happened. I was refunded for the meal, but the response was quite laissez-faire. Most restaurants would be shocked. This was just another drop in the bucket.
