If you’re a fan of crepes, you won’t want to miss out on this place! As someone who’s tried many crepes growing up in Japan, I have to say they were one of the BEST crepes I’ve ever had! Especially the crepe batter had the perfect texture, soft and moist, and I could even enjoy the dough by itself. I highly recommend trying the ‘Picnic Bear’ crepe – it was amazing and definitely worth a try. I’ll go back to try the grizzly.

One of the best Gluten-Free crepes I’ve ever eaten. We got the Forager, Picnic Bear, and the Blue Bear. All of them insanely delicious! The wrap is moist and the perfect texture and flavor. You would never know they were gluten free.

A new crepe place! So excited! They have 4 selections of savory, and 4 selections of sweet! I had the monte cristo and it was fantastic! Fresh marionberry jam! A young patron after me ordered a blueberry Ghirardelli chocolate concoction that looked delicious and I will get at my next visit. Probably tomorrow! All choice are available with a gluten free crepe. There was a mushroom forager selection that appeared vegetarian friendly. Such a nice addition to The Barley Pod! Come and enjoy!

New crepe place in PDX at the Barley Pod! These crepes look AND taste amazing! I had the Forager-mushrooms, caramelized onions, melted Swiss cheese and sea salt! Such a flavorful combination and the sea salt makes the crepe pop! They offer sweet and savory crepes. I’ll be back soon to try other options!

I had a savory Forager crepe today at The Crepe Bear that was so delicious – five stars! It was in a perfectly seared gluten free crepe with seasoned mushrooms, spinach, and carmelized onions. And, it was served with a big smile and kindness from the owner. Oh, and there is a closed, covered, and heated tent for seating at this cart pod to keep you warm and dry while enjoying your meal.

On rainy Black Friday, prior to stopping by a few stores for shopping, we went to The Crepe Bear for lunch. That was a such good choice, because The Forager was just what I needed! I had a gluten-free crepe which was surprisingly delicious and flavorful. The creamy swiss cheese, and the crunchy fresh spinach hit the spot. The owner, Ted was a friendly guy and we chatted about how he cleaned up this food truck to give it a new life in his new business. All five of us ordered a few different items and everyone seemed to be delighted. We’ll be back there again for sure! There is a huge heated tent in the food truck area with several large tables and benches to eat comfortably on a misty cold day.

If YOU know anything about CREPES you will absolutely LOVE this place!!!!! Great for a light HEALTHY savory treat or a light sweet treat… something for everyone!!!! Kids grandparents, young people come get it!!!! Very satiating in a most nostalgic way!!!! And they have gluten FREE!!!!
