Was out in Evanston for the day and decided to stop here on the drive home. Needless to say, I will definitely be back. Service was excellent and food was amazing. Staff made us feel very comfortable, they were patient and helped us with everything we needed. Wouldn’t recommend enough! Truly a hidden gem!

This palace is awesome. Food is delicious. My son ordered his hot dog with only ketchup. Owner told me to start raising my kids right. He then added a ketchup frown face on the dog. I’d like to apologize here and we will start Lucca on the Chicago style dog program. We’ll be better next time Herm. Thanks for the food.

How have I loved just a mile from this place without ever stopping in? I’m giving it five stars not because it’s gourmet or fancy or anything like that – just the opposite. This is a no nonsense, straightforward joint with great service, selection, and value. I was able to get a burger with all the toppings, fries, and a soda for $10. They have numerous vegetarian selections, and the owner even came over to mention a few of them after he saw that I ordered a veggie burger.

This place is the “best case scenario” for a family owned hot dog/burger joint that can be. Brothers own it. The place has been in the family 50 years and these guys KNOW the business like the bank of their hands. I found that out when I asked how he could possibly remember a complicated order and fulfill everything without taking a single note. Dude took our order, remembers everything accurately. Freaking billed us at the end adding it up IN HIS HEAD 100% ACCURATELY! (Like an hour and a half later) We did the math afterward because that was so amazing, I just had to know if he was right or not. He actually was. This was for a table of 5 too. The price was just as impressive for the food you get! This is our new spot for sure. We’ll be going back every time we’re in skokie. I can’t recommend this place high enough!
