The chicken from here is always hot, crispy, and delicious! The area looks a little sketchy because homeless people hangout around here, but don’t be scared of them, I’ve never seen them bother anybody. If you go at night, just be careful when you pull in/out of the driveway because sometimes they’re crossing the sidewalk and it can be hard to see them.

Never again. I’ve given them so many tries, especially the one near my house, and consistently getting rubbery chicken now. No training on how to cook the chicken? What happened to the delicious chicken y’all were serving when you moved to Houston?? Kept giving the downtown location multiple tries, but rubber every time. It’s just gross.

Service exceeded expectations!!! I ordered a two piece chicken w/fries, a roll & a sweet tea. The order was hot n fresh. The restaurant was clean. The restroom was out of service due to a water damage. The cashier was multitasking. She was ringing up customers & making the orders in a timely manner. She was neat & clean in appearance.

The food was very tasty. I have had their gumbo multiple times and tried their chicken, which was delicious. The other patrons eating there were quite loud. The location is also tough to access since the drive in is only from one street and it is surrounded by one-ways. Other than that, really good food for a reasonable price.

So I’m going to try to be as respectful as possible while also being as honest as possible. I’m from Louisiana and this is nothing like Louisiana food. The seasoning is non existent, the quality is mid at best, and a simple order wasn’t accurate. My daughter ordered a 2 piece dark. What showed up? 2 piece fish. C’mon now, fried fish doesn’t even look like a thigh and drumstick. The red beans and rice, yeah, terrible. ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR and undercooked. We wanted to try something local, should have stuck to Popeyes.

Loved it .. Fresh, made to order. Ordered $42.16 worth of food. And everything was perfect. Nice friendly staff / manager went out of their way to make sure our order was correct. We ordered a bit of everything to try and were amazed with the spices they use. Definitely a keeper and worth a try.
