I had originally visited sometime in April. I’d been driving by around lunchtime and noticed it seemed kinda cozy, as well I had gone to one in my youth due to a French class. From there, I turned into the parking lot of the strip mall. (Plenty of parking, and there’s also takeout.) I was curious as to whether or not they had any savory crêpes, so I looked up the menu online and found one under Chicken la Madeleine and went inside.

Used to be addicted to this place, but the last few times I ordered takeout, the quality has been bad. The sandwiches were sloppily made, every crevice sopping with mayo, and the potato soup tasted burnt. Please don’t do that to the country potato soup, it has been a favorite of mine for over 10 years.

Just left this place and while we’re eating we find a worm crawling in the fruit literally spit my food out in a napkin and walked out . I brought it to one of the employees attention and she told me “it’s just an apple worm “ like it was no big deal. IT SHOULDN’T BE ANY WORM OF ANY KIND IN IT. the nerve of some people, definitely do not recommend this place at all food wasn’t even that good either over priced too. Plus they messed up my order and the sandwich was dry

I placed my order via the app. It was a horrid experience. I received a chicken caesar salad with very little lettuce and no chicken. I received again very little chicken in my chicken pasta, no sauce. In the notes, I said no pesto. The manager Larry argued with me that no pesto meant no sauce. My bowl of soup had a cup of soup portion. This is the 2nd time that my order was messed up. Now LaMadeleine corporately is increasing prices and downsizing portions complemented by poor quality food.

What a experience!! I walked in immediately love the decor, it looked like a French cafe. The customer service was great everyone was so nice. The bathrooms were so clean and alot of French decor. The food I got was the chicken friand( may have spelled that wrong) it was a chicken puff pastry absolutely great. Also my wife got French toast, not sure what bread they used but it was good also fresh strawberries on top. Last we got dessert, I had the pecan tart that was the first time having this I was blown away. I highly recommend eating here when visiting baton rouge!!

After being familiar with La Madeleine locations in Dallas, I expected to be in for a great breakfast. This location is unfortunately very far under the chain’s standard. The staff didn’t seem to have any idea how to take or fill orders. My (eat in) order was rung up as a to-go order without any indication. I sat and waited for my omelette for thirty minutes. When I finally asked about the status of my breakfast, the staff rather indignantly informed me that it had been at the counter in a bag for fifteen minutes. I am not a confrontational person at all (in fact I’m quite a pushover), yet when I gently and politely complained about this, the cashier began crying. The whole situation was awkward. I took my meal and left. When I finally opened it to eat, they didn’t even have the order right. La Madeleine is a good chain. This location is seriously flawed. Will never visit this one again.
