So after posting a Reuben Sandwich on social media a while back, my friend Randy said he knew a place. So… lunch it is! He invited me to meet him at Red Mule Pub in Brooksville, FL. The Reuben was FANTASTIC. Excellent quality meats, the perfect combination between corned beef and pastrami in their “combo”… fresh bread, tasty swiss and thousand island dressing. My only suggestion would be to make sure you asked for it “pressed” where they grill the bread to crisp it a bit, giving that crunch that makes it next level. I’ll definitely venture back to Brooksville again, and invite my fellow Reuben aficionados to join me for a gastronomic sensation.

Great food, value and service!! Very reasonably priced for the amount of meat on the sandwiches. Wife and I split the Res Mule combo and it was plenty for the both of us, the decor is a pretty eclectic mix of things but fun and the service staff were very friendly……we will be back!!

I absolutely loved this place. I have never been here and have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of this place, thd decoration is top notch, the lighting was a bit dim for my taste, but other than that the food was amazing, I highly recommend El Mulo, so delicious, I highly recommend it. You will have the same pleasant experience I had. Guaranteed.

Stop on a whim Saturday at lunchtime and glad we did. The Sandwiches were Great and the service was terrific. Busy place with a small menu but it has flexibility to make your own sandwich. Mine was the Red Mule combo! Well worth the money and faster than a fast food chain.

We have eaten here twice and were very pleased both times. We had the pastrami, reuben, and BLT sandwiches and all were delicious. Service was prompt and just enough. Cute decor and prices were reasonable. Really liked the fact that half sandwiches were offered.

Love this little diner located in downtown Brooksville. Been going there since I was a kid and the quality has never dipped. Get the gorgeous brown haired waitresses everytime and she’s wonderful at her job. Friendly attentive and just nice to shoot the breeze with. People behind the counter are always friendly and helpful as well. Definitely top 3 places for me with the nostalgia and good memories.

Arrived shortly after they opened at 11 am. We each ordered half a sandwich which comes with pickle and chips. I had corn beef Rueben and hubby had pastrami. The half was plenty for us. They were wonderful. I highly recommend this small interesting pub! Decor features Red Mules and lots of sport stuff. We’ll be back.

Why did we wait so long to try this place? This is my new favorite Brooksville local place to go with my son and husband when neither of us wants to cook dinner. Great for a quick bite, they have all kinds of delicious sandwhiches with chips. The prices are very affordable and portions perfect. You can even order a half sandwich. It has a bar atmosphere with lots of swag. Kid friendly.

Service was exceptional, very friendly staff. Sandwiches were delicious and served in a timely manner. Will never go back though…let me tell you why. The restaurant is dimly lit for good reason…the decor is cluttered, antique, and dusty. Air quality is questionable. The floor appears to have been resurfaced poorly, whereas a slow toilet leak wasn’t draining properly into the floor drain because it was coated in a rock and epoxy mixture, which squished upon the floor boards. Locals have raved about this restaurant, and I don’t understand why. It’s a dive…but if that’s what you’re into, this is the place to go. Just know that the sanitation grades are public record. Please view before dining at this establishment.
