Masami is our number one favorite sushi place. It is a family owned authentic Japanese sushi. The service is awesome. It’s small and cozy. I choose this place for my birthday dinner every year for just over 10 years, that’s how much I love it. We order Omakase and we are always impressed with what we get. It’s fresh and expertly made.

Update: I brought my mother at last for dinner on Friday. We sat at the sushi bar and had the sake flight (which was fun to try different types of sake), sashimi appetizer, and the omakase. Everything was super delicious. We told them that we’ll eat anything lol. Even the uni was delicious! Both my mother and I don’t care for uni regularly but the ones they served was something else. We both said we’d eat that all the time if we knew they tasted that good all the time! There were so many other dishes/sushi that the chef served us that I didn’t take pics of. It’s not cheap but so worth it. I’ll be taking my mother there from now on when we want japanese food!

Updated review: The couple next to us had food taken from their table and several minutes later told the server that they were not done. The server brought the dish back from the kitchen If my plate is taken to be cleaned, I don’t want it back. Disgusting.

Masami is a local favorite. Likely you will be competing for a table with local regulars. Their service is awesome, you get a traditional Japanese restaurant feel, with the laid back comfort of a local spot. Be sure to try the specials and fresh selections. Sit at the bar to get to know the regular sushi guys – but their little tables with cushions are super cute.

A gem of a place. Authentic Japanese sashimi, sushi, and an amazing selection of fresh grilled fish. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Reservations help but are not necessary for early lunch during the weekdays. They have a decent selection of Japanese beers (Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo Black) and several varieties of Genshu, Sake and Japanese whiskey. I love the bento box lunch specials, the tempura, and the amazing Udon noodle soups.

Great local Japanese spot that has a wide selection of sushi rolls as well as nigiri. Service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Gyoza were perfectly done. Sushi rolls (I ordered 3) were decent, but I feel that the rice was a bit dry.
