My wife and I had our date night there tonight and we had such a good experience I felt compelled to write a review. Starting with the staff, very friendly and polite. Drew, our waiter, was quite helpful with guiding us through the menu as neither of us had had Korean BBQ before. He was attentive without being too much. The food itself was amazing. It appears rather simple and in a way it is but that doesn’t mean it’s not bursting with flavor. I got the spicy pork bulgogi and spicy pork pot belly, my wife got the beef bulgogi and shrimp. We were both very pleased by what we ate. The sauce flights were delicious, only change I’d make is to have more sauce but you can always ask for more. I also very much enjoyed the hot green tea and it is unlimited refills. The ambience also is tastefully done, modern and gives you a good Korean feel. 5/5 stars we are planning to go back soon and taking her parents and our kids next time. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys good food. Some might say the $33 price tag for a plate is high but if you are a larger person like I am, you will leave having felt like you definitely got good value. Do yourself a favor and go try it.

I ordered the Monster roll and the 217 roll. They were sooo delicious! The 217 roll was my personal favorite. My food was also ready exactly when it said it was going to be. I will definitely be visiting again for the All-You-Can-Eat sushi!

Wonderful place. Great atmosphere for a dinner party or date night and lunch is still pretty casual. The booths comfortably seated 3 on each side for our group. They also had quite an impressive bar.

Made reservations for the party room for my birthday! Area with seating for 12 and a grill at each end. We were running late, called the restaurant, and they adjusted. We had a 45-minute drive. Yes, we should’ve left earlier; they were nice. Now, I had only been here 1 time before this, and the staff was great explaining the Korean BBQ process at that first visit. I wanted to share this dining experience with my family and friends and expected the same “introduction” this time. My people were not excited about cooking their own food! The initial server gave such a brief overview, and in a hurry, he had me confused! He was rushing and hurrying things. He even told us in the beginning he’d do a demo. After a few minutes, we had 2 different staff with us cause the first guy was getting off. That was why he was rushing. He never should’ve had my party in the first place, but I don’t know the staffing situation. The new servers were patient and explained to the newbies what everything was and what foods paired with what. Also, half of our party was late, and they explained it all over again. The grill at one end of the table stopped working, so they cooked our food in the kitchen. Also, the late party has a seafood allergy, and the shrimp was cooked in the kitchen as well so we could avoid any cross contamination. All of the food was delicious as we ordered from all parts of the menu. To make a long story short, everyone ended up having a great time and really liked the food. Everyone tried food they hadn’t heard of or seen before. We did end up with an additional server who was either the manager or the owner, and it became an enjoyable and filling experience for everyone. Thank you, Empire staff, for making my birthday dinner enjoyable and filling.

As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted by a wonderful aroma. All the staff were pleasant and engaging. We experienced excellent service and were served an abundance of delicious food. The portions are very large. We order combo B for 4 people and couldn’t finish half of it. The owner is very friendly. He interacted with us throughout our visit and offered suggestions.

Fantastic place. Exactly what Springfield needed from its traditional fast food establishments. This is dining at its best. Fantastic Korean BBQ that I haven’t had since living in overseas. Friendly staff and delicious cuisine. Bring your appetite, you will not go away hungry. Will definitely make this a routine lunch/dinner stop. Will be back to try the sushi bar next time.

Real deal Korean BBQ. So so good. All sorts of little cups fills with goodness and the meats…holy smokes this is the best place I’ve eaten in many moons. Grills on table and korean beer.

Incredibly tasty, novel, and fun experience on the west side of Springfield. A good group activity as portions are very generous. Servers will help cook the food for the table, but encourage creativity and participation from other guests. Do yourself a favor and order a couple of sujos for your table. Not the best vegetarian options, could use a little better ventilation, but very enjoyable experience overall
