I was walking by this place on my way to Kinokuniya. I got 2 spicy tuna mayo and I really enjoyed it. I was surprised of how delicious it was so something that is very simple. They have a wide selection on their menu with different type of filings. There were plenty of seatings inside. Great spot for lunch or a light snack if you don’t want something too heavy. I would come back if I am in the area again to try out different items on the menu.

It’s a nice vibe, the waitstaff is great. I just believe that because of their popularity, they don’t make the best product. It looks like they are trying to push out their onigiri as quickly as possible. It is a nice little experience and worth the try. I believe their are better options in the area.

I loved this place – some of the best onigiri I have had. Ikura mentaiko was our favorite, salmon yuzu miso was close second, and spicy lobster shrimp was also good. I also really liked the bay scallop hand roll. Yellowtail hand roll was okay.

We stopped in by accident because of the wait for the izakaya place up stairs. Glad we did since the onigiri were delicious. We got chicken teriyaki and spicy tuna mayo. Both were stuffed with the filling and well seasoned. This brought me back memory of many trips to japan grabbing these rice balls at the convenient stores on the go. Affordable and yummy treats.

Rice & Nori is an onigiri place in Japantown in Los Angeles. This place has a public restroom if you’re a customer, and bathrooms are rare in this area. It’s not a particular nice restroom, but if you gotta go, you gotta go.

I love onigiri and WOW this place has MASTERED it!! I visited twice over my week in LA and tried about half of their offerings…. Every single one was amazing. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Salmon yuzu!!
