Very good gyro! I thought the taziki sauce was right on the money. The pita had a little crisp to it which was great. The side falafel 5 piece really hit the spot as a starter too, with good presentation! I came here for lunch with a friend to hear about her new job with a ministry called Unto, and we were here for about 2.5 hours. The owner checked on us multiple times and seemed like a super nice guy. The platters looked absolutely massive. On a Saturday at lunch time I was surprised how much parking there was right up front, with a lot of parking right around back.

Small Mediterranean restaurant with FANTASTIC food, generous portions, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, with outdoor dining available. The “loaded bowl” is a great deal, with perfectly grilled chicken or gyro meat, tasty rice, a mix of greens, and savory sauce. I love the pita bread and hummus — especially how warm and toasty the pita bread is when served. It’s a bit of a drive for us down to Avalon Park, but definitely worth it.

First time at Avalon Pockets today and it was A M A Z I N G!! This is now our go to spot. We ordered the Lemon Chicken Rice Soup, Loaded Bowl w/gyro and chicken and a Mixed Gryo. The Lemon Chicken Rice soup is not your standard Greek Lemon Rice soup, this was seasoned to perfection and the prettiest brown color. I would go back just for this. The Bowl and Mixed Gyro was absolute perfection. Huge portions and a bite of meat in every bite.

Love this place definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the East Orlando area. The prices are very good considering the area and the portions are absolutely huge one platter could definitely feed 2-3 people. Staff is always very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

BEST. FOOD. EVER. my boyfriend and I LOVE Mediterranean food so we’ve been searching far and wide for a good authentic one. We’ve tried so many different places but this one is the most delicious one by far. It’s in a great area and the service is very fast and friendly. We always get the chicken souvlaki but we tried the rice too the other day and it was amazing. 10/10 place can’t wait to try more menu items

Just happened to pass by and decide to stop in. What a great idea that was! We had the Gyro Platter and the Gyro Mixed Platter with a side of the some the best fries. The food was fantastic! The portions were very big (we took some leftovers home). We also ordered the Mango Smoothie and that was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Excellent tabouli btw. Everything came out hot and fresh. The service was a 10/10. Thanks for being patient with our baby and giving us options for her! We’ll definitely be back!!

Pretty good simple Mediterranean food! I liked the gyro meat, which was tender and flavorful. The spicy meat was way too salty. The hummus was a bit plain and had a slightly bitter aftertaste. Very generous portions. Prices very reasonable. Service was friendly.
