Beautiful location with a cute country store in front. Had the lemon pepper salmon and it was pretty good. Also, the had the collards and cabbage which were both good. They had a sweetness to them. The service was great just took a little longer to get the bill but not outrageously long. They don’t have gluten free bread but there are options to still have a good meal. All in all… I will come back.

Great local family restaurant with excellent comfort foods and friendly staff. The portions are huge, so bring an appetite, a friend, or be prepared to take home leftovers. The house apple butter is so good, we bought two jars to take home. The Moose reminds me more of a personalized Cracker Barrel with a gift shop. Be sure to check out the Farmers Market next door.

This Cafe is run in part by the Western North Carolina Department of Agriculture, and the impeccable quality of the ingredients used speaks volumes. The slice of tomato on my chicken sandwich was HUGE, flavorful, juicy, and soft. I’ve never bothered to be so specific for a dang topping, but it wowed me. The pickle was tart and crunchy, and not overwhelming to the sandwich.

Decided to stop and try this country restaurant. The service, chicken and cream potatoes were good. The slaw was not good at all nor were the green beans. They do bring out biscuits with apple butter. It was just OK.

I’ve eaten breakfast here before and liked it. So, I thought I’d go back and try their country cooking at lunch. I didn’t know what to order since everything looked good, so I got the sampler platter with Meatloaf, Country Ham and Chicken and Dumplings. I got mashed potatoes with gravy on the side and pinto beans and onion for my sides. The beans were good, they just needed a little seasoning in them. I didn’t care for the gravy; glad I got it on the side. The mashed potatoes were real which was good. I don’t like instant. The meat loaf was good, just a little dry. The ham was good, just a little salty. But I was disappointed in the chicken and dumplings. The chicken and the dumplings are not cooked together so it didn’t have that good favor. The chicken was just shredded breast meat, and the dumpling came in watery like soup. It actually tasted like chicken noodle soup. Cornbread and biscuits were good.

What a great place! Southern charm and super service. And the food was fantastic! Our table was greeted with complimentary biscuits and homemade apple butter.

I got the blue ridge sampler. The fried chicken was pretty good I do wish it had a bit more seasoning to it, the country ham was very salty but I liked it, standard fries and amazing spiced apples. The biscuit and apple butter they provided at the start was soo good too.

What an incredibly delicious place! The employees are so friendly, and the food is amazing. We tried the chicken livers and grilled chicken. Both were great, and the sides were equally amazing. The chicken and dumplings, mac and cheese, pinto beans, and collard greens were all so good. We also enjoyed the cornbread and biscuits with apple butter. Can’t wait to visit again!
